User Reviews for Hero Impulse
An Ideal Bike For Daily Commuters
This bike is just 134 kg which gives you a decent power in the segment and it helps rider to keep a good speed in city traffic as well as on highways. Handle bars are positioned and designed perfectly for you to handle it both on and off road. It uses 5-speed gearbox that shifts smoothly, one-down, four-up pattern. The engine offers good low- and mid-range punch. Seats are comfortable and well cushioned for short and long rides. Efficiency in city is average, but the highway efficiency could have been better. Switch gear is average in terms of quality which do not give good feel and engine kill switch button is missing, which is also lack in Karizma siblings. The ride quality is amazing and extremely plush. It dismisses big and small potholes alike, which says a lot about the superior ride quality. Braking is good and it stops perfectly. Looks are impressive and it is quite affordable and can be easily fits to your pocket.
Best Features: Comfortable & good value for money
Pros: Braking, styling, comfortable, engine, good value for money
Cons: Small fuel tank
Practical Motorcycle for Indian Roads
The Hero Impulse is a real hero of Indian roads. I am riding this stunning motorcycle since 2013. It offers seamless driving and riding position is too good. I remember that day when I bought it, many guys stopped me and inquired about it. I have traveled a lot on rough roads and I am very much impressed by the suspension system. So for Impulse, kaccha road and speed breakers create no pain. The riding posture is very comfortable as its handles offer firm palm grip and the knees have enough space to have good hold of this bike. With the help of smartly placed foot-pegs, every ride become more relaxed and pain free. In the terms of mileage, it provides 45-50 kmpl average and the pickup of the bike is just awesome.
Best Features: Off-roading capabilities
Pros: Mileage, Comfort Ride, Seating Posture
Cons: Price, Front Guard Problem
Hero Impulse 150 Discussion
Hero impulse 150 abhi ka mil sakti hia???? Plz ans too fast
this is just superb bike, i have one with me, why did they stop. they should continue again
Excellent bike.....I have been using since 2 months
Mileage 40+ in city and 55 on highway
Acceleration of the vehicle is the best and it can beat any vehicle
Best in terms of safety as it does not skid due to the special variety of ceat tyres which are manufactured exclusively for hero impulse
Rider and pillion rider comfort is also there which is not there in other 150 cc bikes like R15 2.0
Overall:- Best bike for people who give value for money and safety!!!!!!
the only low price off road bike
one customer reported me he is getting 55 in city 6 top speed is 110kmh conclusion this bike is same price as cbz hunk, if you want to get riding pleasure u can go for it. i have cbz extreme and karizma r both bikes but when i ride impulse it is smoother then cbz.
All the best Hero MotoCorp....Jai Hind
The bike looks like NXR 150 Bros.

simply superb bike..only thing bothering ppl is the height and little less power.. obvious der is no concern over power we can improve it by upgrading it matter of only 2-3k

The bigger Hero Puch
Hi All, I though of booking it rightaway when i had test ride. Did not do so coz of its front wheel mud guard. Can anybody already having Impulse guide me as to how the front wheel mud guard helps avoid water splash in rain or wet road?? Is it that all the dirt and wet shit splashes on rider face??? I would appreciate if you advise me with snapshots. Will help me to book it.!! Thanks, Chandrakanth U.M.
whts the average......
yippeeee....I've booked this in BLACKK! will rock the streets & perform stunts really excited ^_^ XD <3 <3 IMPULSE <3 <3
I had a test drive !! This Bike is simply Awesome !! My i Leave the Clutch , the Bike's Front wheel slightly Elevated :) The Showroom Guy who was the Pillion " shouted Hey Be careful !! My Personal Opinion ! 1. Pick up is Great ! 2. Handling is OK - OK ! 3. Can't check top end because , the showroom guy did not allowed me to go futhur 60 km/hr speed ! 4. Light Weight ! 5. This Bike will be great for performing "STUNTS" !! Thank you :D
This bike is a transroader & not a motocross bike ,so those who think it is ''underpowered'',please stop expecting alot more than this bike's potential...dont just judge it by it's numbers(13 Bhp), infact it's lightweight allows it to perform similarly so as a normal 150cc bike does...it's suspension & ground-clearence makes it ideal for off roading...It surely will face no problem on Indian terrain. Good one Hero!
I think its best for bike stunt professionals!!
Its fine if its lighter for an off road bike...but even off road bikes need power...which would be an ideal riding condition for this bike??? for off road stuff although being lighter u need better suspension n power n no pillion...for city drive...simply many better options available...no offence but honda has made a mess trying to combine two 2 riding conditions specifically targeted for bumpy city roads...lacking 2 main features comfort and power...
i would tell hero has done a gud job, they made a bike which is for commuting and goin off road. so u need to remember tat and not jus simply comment crap, its a brave and a gud move, as both hero and honda are splitting apart. 13bhp is more than enough for this bike jus check its weight, only 120 kilos. bajaj pulsar weighs 20 kilos more so 15 bhp and jus 12nm torque but the impulse has 13nm. it covers up the power there and when compared all the features are same except for few things.
@Punit K, Buddy, you can not take 143 kg pulsur or 136 kg r15 for riding on ruogh surface. Transroader sould be lighter not powerfulas racing bike or Planty or Torque for cruising. This is not for long trip or racing. its only for weekend fun of off roading rides. For long riding go for RE bikes or ZMR or Avenger. R15 and Pulsur are suitable for fast driving and drag racing. The only negative point here is no tubeless tyres. which one can chage as per their need.
is it ok 2 drive impulse on a long tour????cz d silencer is jst beneath d seat n is it safe 4 d person sitting behind??
yes dude u r right but PULSAR is not reliable as Hero products and i think u know the old CBZ very well it is the greatest hit of HMC but a OFF Road bike of 150cc costs over 1.5 lakh and who will buy an OFF ROAD bike in ON Road Conditions and it IMPULSE is not for Touring dude it is just for FUN riding and PULSAR doesn't have the exhaust near the pillion... NO OFFENCE
I Have Booked The Impulse And Also Test rided it it is an awesome bike... it is an transroader which also comes with a great mileage and wider rear tyre and open chain... Hero had made an extraordinary bike... but the only backlog is it is not Fuel Injected... As in brazil the Honda NXR 150Bros is Fuel Injected Which offers better mileage than the Hero Impulse And Impulse has the Power Of the old CBZ (13bhp@7500 and 13.4nm @5000)which is a High Torque ATFT (Advanced Tumble Flow Induction Technology) engine desinged by Hero... And I Think It is better than CBZ X-treme and Hunk... If U Wanna Play The Road Go For The IMPULSE
Is it really a Trans roader bike??? Only having a flying mudguard and silencer positioned near to seat doesn't mean that this is a off road bike, the first thing is: It has Tube tyres and not tubeless Only 150cc wont provide enough power (it is under powered) With just 13 Bhp what will it prove, even Pulsar 150 has 15Bhp Silencer is just next to pillion riders seat so tell me how much time its gonna cover the heat in a long trip??? And what style are u talking about in this bike??? I can have a flying mudguard and silencer poised near to my seat even in Yamaha RX 150 and it will look much better than this... No offence this is jus a personal point of view...
this bike is meant for good mileage, with stylish looks and for middle class people not for fat butted corrupted rich ass holes....... its awesome and gonna be bike of the year 2012 with rocking sales
Thums Up for hero Impulse but it is for off road it will feel odd to ride this bike to office.
robe or sari its still a joke on a bike thats supposed to bring out the extreme in u. And this junk wins bike of the year, only in India i tell u. we get conned so easily.
Don't call it a sari guard, call it a robe guard dude. I understand it's crazy though!
not to mention the saree guard on an off roader what a joke?
I do understand that hero was trying to put up a brave face and revealed truly original bike but come on at 78k with a 150cc bike its ridiculous. Be brave HERO live up to the name and drop at least a 250 cc engine with some power and grunt so that true off roaders can enjoy the bike. Its sad that HERO has lost Honda may be they do not have the tech to pull in off. Whats sad is that you guys have been in business for so long and still not guts to do something radical. See Mahindra comparatively a very small company in bikes but competing against the big boys of the world that shows ambition. Come on HERO lets see if your "Impulse" can compete in the DAKAR. Yeah ur comeback is going to be its not that class of bike, yes i agree but come one that's been ur excuse for this long.
Off roader without tubless tyres..!! LOL...!!
no doubt bike has good looks and a very good concept first off roader of India but a 150 cc with 13.2 for an off roader what a shame engine is under powered it will not give enough power to perform off road stunts offroader has to be quick zippy, great acceleration with 13.2 bhp will be a dissappointment a 200cc pulsor or FZ, least an RX can beat this bike..
Hero Impulse awesome bike no doubt but one mistake no tubeless tyres.
lacks rear disc, headlight looks like chinese manufactured, hero motor ko agar aisi bike banani thi to honda ki japanese bikes ko copy karni ani chahiye.
guys...m confused which bike to buy.. should i buy avenger or impulse? ...for me looks is d most imp consideration... plz help me out!!!
it is off road bike and it is without tubeless tyres ....lol
