Our take on this /// Verdict
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 brings a compelling blend of style, power, and handling, making it a standout in the 250cc segment. Its sporty design and responsive engine are ideal for riders who navigate busy city streets but also want enough power for occasional highway trips. It is a great choice for young professionals and urban dwellers who value performance over pure mileage. However, potential buyers should consider that comfort might be an issue on extended rides and mileage is average, reaching around 30 kmpl at best. For someone looking for a stylish yet practical daily ride with enough punch for weekend outings, the Gixxer 250 is a strong contender. If it is discontinued in the future, it would still make a solid second-hand buy for its reliability and design.
Price
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is priced around Rs. 1.77 lakh for the standard variant, while the Gixxer 250 SF (faired version) is priced higher at approximately Rs.1.87 lakh. In Delhi, on-road prices are about Rs.1.98 lakh for the standard model and Rs.2.09 lakh for the SF. In Mumbai, prices are slightly higher due to local taxes, with the base model around Rs.2.02 lakh on-road and the SF close to Rs .2.13 lakh. These prices make the Gixxer 250 a mid-range option for the 250cc segment.
Latest Updates
Due to increased manufacturing costs, Suzuki revised the prices of the Gixxer 250 range with a minor price hike that affected both the standard and SF models.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

Review after riding 33,000Kms
Am from Thrissur, Kerala... I bought my gixxer SF in 2016 from classic omega dealership... It was looking amazing in a glass sparkle black colour... I never rode a Suzuki in my whole life this was the first I only had ridden few motorcycles Yamaha fz16, pulsar 220f for a long period and both the fz and 220 performed really well.. I asked Suzuki before booking the gixxer SF for a test ride but, they always says the same reason we don't have any test bikes.. Then how will customers able to know how it feels to ride.. My home was just 20kms away from the dealership and I noticed after riding my new gixxer SF for few kilometres that the gear shifts are very hard compared to fz and sometimes it hard to shift from 2nd to 1st gear in stop and go traffic.. I didn't bother it much because it was new... And after that, I took it for a 320kms after 1st service hill station ride and noticed that the engine was not pulling up hill and I was not able to overtake the car in Infront of me whenever I was getting a chance to overtake.. Later I shared my problems with service guys and they said it must be the problem with carburettor and they cleaned the carburettor and fuel tank even then there was only a slight difference in performance.. Whenever I try to push it hard (after break-in period) the motorcycle was showing misfiring when I try to touch the 3 digit no. in the speedometer I was totally broke by my bike’s performance it was not the bike which I wanted.. Never in my life fz16 or 200 given me such kind problems.. I always check the oil level of the motorcycle before I go for the ride whether it's fz or pulsar 220 I check it and both of them never needed top up until next oil change.. But, Gixxer after riding for 500kms after the 3rd service I noticed the oil level going down slowly after every ride.. Then I saw the oil leak from the magnetic coil area and ran to the service centre and asked them to check because the bike was under warranty a

Best in class
I bought it in March of last year. Since I bought it I'm enjoying the bike mileage I'm getting above 50kmpl in city as well as on highway. Overall its best in class. But I'm suffering by an issue since I bought it. I found gear shifting is too much hard since I bought it. Several times I complained about that to local Suzuki service station but no use problem is still there.if Suzuki will look after this issue I'm very much thankful.
Best Features: Power, mileage, styling.
Pros: Performance,riding quality,mileage,looks
Cons: Gear shifting very hard, built quality
Suzuki Gixxer 250 Discussion
Only 5gears? .its too bad.?
Suspensión are made by KYB KAYABA, made in japan, and have Mikuni fuel inyection .
1.5 to 2lakh price is porfect and single cylinder like cbr250r lounch this suzuki 250r yamaha r3 not popular bicose of price hop suzuki lunch i. Single cylinder in india
The biggest draw back is the price, which does not give any justice to this bike. And secondly why would any one include very less power in a twin cylinder 250cc engine, with high kerb weight of 178 kg, are the R&D Guys less skilled.
250cc with twin cylinder extracting 24bhp, and pricing 3 lakhs is high level cheap loot.
They should have made it as 250cc, 1 cylinder, 27 bhp with 25 nm torque with ABS, weighing 157 kg priced at 1.7 lakhs onroad, which will be a reasonable buy.
OR else should have made it as 250cc, 2 cylinder, 35 bhp with 30 nm torque with ABS, weighing 165 kg priced at 2.4 lakhs onroad, which will also be a reasonable buy. Because if KTM RC 390 can sell for 2.4 lakhs so do suzuki shall make it happen, as suzuki is in india for more than 3 decades
This bike is awesome, but I would suggest you Suzuki people in making this bike look a bit more aggressive than Yamaha R15, and keep the cost of this bike below 1.50 lakh in india.
Price is ridiculous
Borrowing Inazuma's engine? Seriously? I would pick higher price to get DOHC 2 cylinders engine
I saw many sports bike of 150 to 250cc range .they have been designed as childrens school the boys are crazy or sheeps.they are not at all convinint to ride for matured men .
Honda hornet 250cc. 40bhp
How is it... Honda hornet 250cc.. 40bhp :-)
when this bike launch in india..im waiting fr this bike
Let's wait until launch high expectations
bajaz bike styling 200/220cc styling is not good .no confidance about vibration free .they take high rpms for high speeds avenger has no rpm meter to know its capability.
Wow! Finally, a 250cc Suzuki Sportsbike for India :-)
The photo describes it as a great option in the quarter liter segment. Refreshed design, bigger engine, better tyres and competitive price. Suzuki would rise again for sure.
lower the price keep it at around 110000laks ,get power and tq at lower rpms for comfortability and try to raise these hp and tq above 30 keep weight at 150kgs .chasis shape should be as high cc bikes but not weight and see its sales figure.
