Pricing details and changes
The Carberry Double Barrel 1000 was launched in India with an ex-showroom price starting at Rs 7.35 lakh. When considering the on-road price, you can expect to add around 10-15 for taxes, registration, and other costs, bringing the total to approximately Rs 8.08 lakh to Rs 8.45 lakh, depending on the state you are in. Fuel efficiency information
The mileage of the Carberry Double Barrel 1000 is a critical factor for potential buyers, especially in a market where fuel efficiency is often a key consideration. Given its 1000cc V-twin engine, the bike is not expected to be a fuel-sipper. Real-world mileage can vary, but you can anticipate around 20-25 kml in mixed riding conditions. This is reasonable considering the bikes power output and the fact that it is designed more for cruising and performance rather than fuel efficiency. For riders who prioritize the riding experience and are willing to compromise a bit on fuel costs, the Double Barrel 1000s mileage is acceptable. Expert Verdict
Professional reviews and expert opinions on Carberry Double Barrel 1000
Built by Paul Carberry, the Carberry Double Barrel is a personification of the Royal Enfield cruisers but with a more powerful engine and better performance. It is powered by two 500cc engines from Royal Enfield which are combined together to form V-Twin engine. With a first V-Twin engine that is made in India, the Carberry Double Barrel 1000 is known to offer optimized performance and much lesser vibrations. Carberry is also opting to develop a fuel-injected and carbureted version of the cruiser which will be according to BS-IV standard.
Powering the Barrel 1000 is a 1000cc, 2-Cylinder Engine, an air-cooled engine capable of producing a maximum power of 52.2 HP and a torque of 82 NM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 55-degree V-Twin engine has a seven plate clutch system and runs a dual carburettor setup. Hydraulic lifters and oil pumps are a separate addition to the cruiser in order to prevent the wear and tear.
Coming to the design, the Carberry Double Barrel 1000 gets a double-cradle frame in order to support the twin-engine which is twice the Royal Enfield’s engine and actually makes you root for lesser vibrations. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear gets twin shock absorbers.
The Carberry Double Barrel 1000 is equipped with disc brakes at both the ends and gets ABS as standard in order to provide maximum control over the bike while braking. The two-in-one exhaust system is responsible for providing optimized performance. The V-Twin engine is not compatible to be added to certain another bike thus the bike and the engine is only available as a complete package. The Carberry Double Barrel competes in the market with the likes of Harley Davidson Sportster 883 range. You can avail the bike in two color shades of Red and chrome.
