Benelli TNT 600 GT
Benelli Variant
General information and overview
The Benelli TNT 600 GT is a sport tourer that stands out with its 600cc inline-four cylinder engine, producing 84bhp at 11,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 10,500rpm. This engine, though peaky, offers a thrilling experience once it hits the higher rev range. The bike features a 6-speed gearbox with smooth shifting and a clutch that, while not light, is manageable. It has a robust steel trellis frame and a suspension setup that includes 50mm upside-down forks and a side-mounted monoshock with adjustable rebound and preload. The bike is equipped with twin 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear, though it lacks ABS. With its 27-litre fuel tank, the TNT 600 GT is well-suited for long-distance touring, offering a comfortable ride and sufficient stability at high speeds. Despite some minor drawbacks, it remains an attractive option for those seeking a blend of performance, comfort, and affordability.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Benelli TNT 600 GT is a compelling option for those seeking a balance of comfort and performance, particularly for long-distance touring. While it may not excel in every aspect, its strengths lie in its powerful 600cc inline-four cylinder engine, which comes to life at around 7,000rpm and delivers a substantial punch up to its redline of 11,500rpm. The bikes stability at high speeds, thanks to its fairing and windscreen, is a significant advantage. However, it does have some drawbacks, such as the lack of ABS, a somewhat heavy and less agile handling due to its weight, and a suspension setup that can be a bit of a compromise between comfort and firmness. Despite these, the TNT 600 GT remains a practical and enjoyable choice for tourers, especially considering its price point and the unique charm of its inline-four engine.
Recent news and announcements
The Benelli TNT 600GT is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2024, featuring a 600cc in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 82 horses at 11,000 rpm and around 56 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. This touring variant of the TNT 600 comes with a semi-fairing, a huge 27-liter fuel tank, and a dual projector headlamp setup. I think this bike will be a great option for those looking for a powerful yet comfortable ride for long hauls.
Benelli has confirmed that the TNT 600GT will come equipped with a 50mm USD fork at the front and a single side-mounted monoshock at the rear, ensuring maximum stability and comfort on various terrains. The bike also features dual 320 mm discs at the front and a 260 mm single disc at the rear, providing robust braking capabilities. This setup makes the bike well-balanced and easy to handle, even for riders of short stature.
The Benelli TNT 600GT is designed to handle both city commutes and long-distance touring with ease. It boasts a liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox, offering smooth and unhurried power delivery. The bikes suspension and braking system are also tuned to handle diverse road conditions, making it a versatile choice for Indian riders. I believe the combination of power and comfort will make this bike a hit among touring enthusiasts.
Benelli has announced that the TNT 600GT will be available in several color options in India, although the exact colors have not been specified yet. The bikes design includes a muscular body with a classic tubular steel trellis frame and aluminum alloy casting at the rear, giving it a robust yet stylish appearance. The bikes fit and finish are also expected to be top-notch, aligning with Benellis quality standards.
The Benelli TNT 600GT is anticipated to be priced around Rs. 7.5 lakh in India, making it a competitive option in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. The bikes features, including its large fuel tank and semi-fairing, are aimed at providing both comfort and performance. I think the pricing will be a key factor in its success in the Indian market.
Pricing details and changes
The Benelli TNT 600 GT is priced competitively in the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price of around Rs 5.62 lakh in Delhi. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to approximately Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its specifications and the unique offering of an inline-four cylinder engine, this price makes it one of the most affordable options in its class, competing directly with bikes like the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Honda CBR650F. For those looking for a tourer with substantial performance and comfort, the TNT 600 GT offers great value for money.
Fuel efficiency information
The fuel efficiency of the Benelli TNT 600 GT is reasonable, given its powerful engine. It offers a mileage of around 18-22 kml, which is decent for a 600cc motorcycle. This range, combined with its 27-litre fuel tank, provides ample peace of mind for long-distance touring, allowing riders to cover significant distances without frequent fuel stops. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient option, the balance between performance and mileage makes it a viable choice for those prioritizing both aspects.

Expert Verdict
Professional reviews and expert opinions on Benelli TNT 600 GT
Benelli TNT 600GT is an impressive Kawasaki Versys 650 rival in India. Only these two brands have a typical tourer placed at such impressive price point or else, one needs to consider highly expensive Triumph Tiger, BMW F750GS or Ducati Multistrada in India. The motorcycle shares its engine with Benelli TNT 600i but visually, it comes with large number of changes at all ends. Even its frame feel different due to hidden front section under the fairing but remains exactly the same. All black finished frame parts of Benelli TNT 600i are now available in metallic finish on TNT 600GT.

The motorcycle is made with an intention of long distance riding, truly visible through its comfortable, fully padded seats and air deflecting fairing / windscreen and 27 liters of usable fuel tank. You can achieve almost 550 kms of highway riding before getting the bike some more fuel. Not most bikes have the capability to return such impressive full fuel tank value in this segment. Benelli TNT 600GT has also taken into account serious power requirements of highway riders as one can utilize 85.07 BHP of maximum power to achieve better overtaking and high speed short interval riding.
Unlike TNT 600i with huge dual exhausts, 600GT comes with underbelly unit for better weight distribution. Front suspension duties are handled by 50mm USD forks while rear end is using a monoshock. TNT 600GT weighs 243 kg and comes with fixed panniers for ease of luggage handling. Front dual disc and rear single disc brake offers ABS for safe braking in all conditions. Superbike spec 180 section rear wheel helps in achieving better traction level on the highway. Sharing most components with TNT600i, 600GT can be safely called the most affordable middleweight tourer of India. It even shares the instrument console with TNT600i.
