So is the Pulsar F250 really worth paying a premium over the N250 for, or are you simply paying for looks?

When you think about long term ownership, I believe the price difference is justified. The bit more presence on the road and the F250 will likely hold its value better. It's an investment in enjoyment.

I went from a 220F to this honestly, it wasn't that big a jump. The 250F is nice, but I don’t think it’s 25% better.
Does the Pulsar 250F justify the premium over the 220F?

It’s definitely smoother than the 250F, but I miss the rawness of the 220F. I liked it more like a proper Pulsar.

If you do a lot of highway runs I'd say go for the 250F. It's noticeable when you're cruising at higher speeds, though.
Does the Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04 Drum’s long seat really work or is it just a gimmick after all?
29 January 2025 09:19
It's actually pretty awesome. When you're alone, you can slide back for a more relaxed ride; when you have a passenger, scoot forward. You can also strap stuff to the back part. It feels like it's a built in mini luggage rack.

Gimmick all the way. Why does anybody need that much seat on a 125cc bike? It's just weird to look at and probably changes the handling for the worse.

For a family, I think it's genius. You see entire families on one bike in India. At least it gives them a little room to move.

The long seat is awesome until you try to back the bike up. From the middle of that thing, good luck reaching the ground!

It's not just about seating. The extra space is great for delivery guys that need to carry boxes or bags. But it's like a built in cargo area.

I'd be worried about the material of the seat. That's a lot of surface area if it's not good quality, and it's going to start cracking and peeling over time.

It’s overkill for most, but there’s a niche market that would really love it. And sometimes, it’s the weird features that become the defining features for a bike.
Is the Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04 Drum really as fuel efficient as it claims to be, saving you 50% on fuel costs, or is it mere marketing gimmick?
29 January 2025 09:19
If it's only 30%, that's huge for daily commuters, but the 50% saving is probably the best case scenario. We're talking some serious money over a year.

It's clever marketing for sure. They’re not taking into account the higher initial cost of the bike, or the hassle of locating CNG stations. Not everyone is able to get the math to add up.

It depends on where you live and how you use the bike, I think. If you live in a city with good CNG infrastructure and you ride a lot, you could see those kinds of savings. But it's not one-size-fits-all.

The real question is how many years does it take to pay off the extra cost of the bike with fuel savings? Is it really worth it if it takes 5 years?

Don't forget about maintenance costs. This bike has two, not one, fuel systems. That's potentially double the things that can go wrong.
