Should you pay the premium for the Kia Carens X Line over lower trims?
Kia Carens comes with fancy features and style upgrades in X Line trim, but it is also expensive as compared to the lower variants. Key additions include matte graphite exterior color, X Line badging, artificial leather seats with orange stitching and a few extra tech goodies. But it costs considerably more than Luxury Plus trim. As a buyer looking at the Carens, the top end variant here is an interesting dilemma – do you go all out for the bling and extra features or do you save yourself some money by opting for a lesser trim that still gets you most of the core functionality? But it's not just about features - the X Line is also the top of the line in brand image and exclusivity for the Carens.
I honestly don’t think it’s worth it. Most of the important features are already included on the lower Luxury Plus trim, and the X Line additions are almost entirely cosmetic. But that extra cash could just as well have been put towards accessories or saved for further maintenance.
