Is the Apollo Gumpert's claim that it can drive upside down at high speeds genius marketing, or just plain ridiculous?
30 January 2025 10:04
The problem is that it's untestable, and that makes it feel like empty boasting. Yet, they should have made more verifiable performance claims.
Is Apollo Gumpert the peak of analog supercar design?
30 January 2025 10:04
The peak can't be the Apollo, it is too extreme. It's a better balance of usability and analog feel, something like the Porsche 911 GT3 (997 generation).
Is the Apollo Gumpert the ultimate sleeper supercar?
30 January 2025 10:04
Absolutely! The Apollo Gumpert is a sleeper supercar if ever there was one. Not pretty, but damn fast and can light up most of the 'popular' supercars on the track.
If the Apollo Gumpert had better marketing, could it have saved the company?
30 January 2025 10:04
They wouldn't have been saved by marketing alone. However, to compete with established brands, they required a wider range of products and a better dealer network.
What is the build quality of the Pulsar NS250 compared to previous Pulsars?
30 January 2025 10:02
They went all out on the NS250 and it's a huge step up in build quality! It's gorgeous paint finish and everything feels solid. It's like Bajaj has finally decided to play in the same league as the Japanese brands on fit and finish.
How does the handling of the Pulsar NS250 compare to its competition?
30 January 2025 10:02
The NS250 hits the mark for city riding. It's nimble yet stable enough on open roads, yet nimble enough for tight traffic. Although the Yamaha FZ25 might be a tad more flickable, the NS250 feels more planted.
Does the Pulsar NS250 fulfill the meaning of the "Naked Sport" in terms of performance?
30 January 2025 10:02
I find the NS250 lacking in the sport department, coming from bigger bikes. For new riders or those upgrading from smaller bikes, it might feel very sporty, but for most people, it’s nice. It's all relative.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 worth the upgrade from the NS200?
30 January 2025 10:02
Absolutely worth it! That said, the NS250 punches a lot harder in the mid range, and that makes a big difference in real world riding. It's not just about how fast you can go, but how quickly you can pass on highways.
Can the 8C Competizione be a future classic?
30 January 2025 10:01
I’d say that it’s somewhat of a dark horse for future classic status. While it may not be as well known as some of its contemporaries, it might actually be to its advantage. It could be one of those 'forgotten' gems that suddenly skyrocket in value in 20 years.
So what’s the deal with the 8C’s gearbox?
30 January 2025 10:01
The gearbox, we'll be honest, is quite terrible by today’s standards. This was cutting edge tech when the 8C came out, but you've got to remember that. All of these things are part of what makes the car a time capsule of that era of automotive design.
How does the 8C compare to modern Alfas?
30 January 2025 10:01
It's apples and oranges, really. That is to say, the 8C was a halo car, a statement piece. Alfas are trying to compete with BMW and Mercedes in modern times. The two have their merits, but I’d miss the boldness of something like the 8C in the current lineup.
Is the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione overhyped?
30 January 2025 10:01
Overrated? No way! It’s a work of art on wheels, the 8C. Yes, it’s not the sharpest tool in the shed to handle, but that’s not what it’s all about. It’s about the experience, it’s about the sound of that Ferrari derived V8, it’s about the looks that kill but it’s also about the people that are around you. It’s not a track weapon, it’s a proper GT car.
Which Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 mod was the most ridiculous?
30 January 2025 09:58
Saw a 147 with the prancing horse replacing the Alfa badge. You now have the world's least convincing Ferrari, congrats.
What was your best 'that's so Alfa' moment with the 147 1.6?
30 January 2025 09:58
That was the day I figured out that I’ve been subconsciously taking the long, twisty route to wherever I was going because it’s more fun in the 147.
What would the personality of a person be if they were the Alfa Romeo 147 1.6?
30 January 2025 09:58
The coworker who’s always complaining about their job but deep down is actually really good at it and enjoys the drama.
How true is the Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 as a driver's car or just a pretty face?
30 January 2025 09:58
It’s perfect as a daily driver. Not too powerful to be constantly fighting tickets, but enough pep to be fun. It also looks like a supercar, plus it turns heads.
What is the quirkiest feature of the Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 that you love or hate?
30 January 2025 09:58
It turns out that the turning circle is surprisingly tight. This thing will U turn places you would have never expected. It's got invisible rear wheel steering.
Is the NS160's oil-cooled engine actually better than air-cooled alternatives?
30 January 2025 09:53
Honestly, I can't tell much difference. Maybe it helps on really hot days, but in normal riding, it seems like overkill for a 160cc.
How does the NS160 fare as a long-term ownership proposition?
30 January 2025 09:53
I've had mine for 3 years now, and it's been rock solid. Regular maintenance is key, but it hasn't given me any major headaches.
How does the NS160 hold up for taller riders?
30 January 2025 09:53
It's okay for short rides, but on longer trips, I (6'0") start feeling cramped after an hour or so. Wish the footpegs were a bit more rear-set.
