What is the quirkiest feature of the Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 that you love or hate?
Each car is different, and like all Alfa Romeos, they have their own unique design choices and occasionally not so conventional features. Of course, the 147 1.6 has its own quirks, as is likely the case with most of these cars, and I’m sure owners have strong feelings about these quirks. They could include anything from weirdly placed controls to weird design or weird behavioral traits of the car itself. Often such features are a talking point among enthusiasts, and can even gain cult followings. So, let’s look at what makes the 147 1.6 so unusual, and so good, in the eyes of its owners and admirers. So what are those little details or oddities that you can’t help but notice when you’re interacting with the car?

Tiny and fiddly is the climate control buttons. They're like they were made for people who have toothpicks for fingers.

The engine note at high revs. It's not quite a typical 1.6, there's a bit of that Alfa magic in the exhaust.

It turns out that the turning circle is surprisingly tight. This thing will U turn places you would have never expected. It's got invisible rear wheel steering.

The headlights look like angry eyes. For a small car, it’s almost intimidating – it’s got so much personality.

The horn is too much of a horn for a car its size. For a car that's so compact, it's hilariously loud.

It’s a sporty Italian car, and the seats are weirdly comfortable for long trips. They accidentally made them too good.

It's an iconic front grille, but it's a pain to clean. It’s like a five star insect hotel, bugs get stuck in there.

The way the needles on the rev counter and speedometer sweep when you start the car. It’s so cool, but totally unnecessary.

I really like the dash start button. Even if you're going to the grocery store, it makes you feel like you are in a race car.

The hidden rear door handles! Good luck explaining to your passengers how to get in, but they make the car look like a coupe.
