Discussions and Questions Price - Page 7
Will the higher potential price tag of the Ai3 eat into Hyundai's own sales of the Grand i10 Nios?
02 January 2025 07:05
It’s just Hyundai adapting to the market. If they're not going to offer an SUV in this space, someone else will. It’s better to cannibalize your own sales than lose them to a competitor.
Is the BYD Seagull built to justify its price tag?
02 January 2025 06:48
I believe people are just too hung up on brand names. Who cares if it’s from a newer company if it’s well built and affordable? Good quality doesn't have to be expensive and BYD is proving that.
Is the BYD eMAX 7 worth the price tag considering its features, and the electric powertrain?
02 January 2025 06:29
At that price it's a tough sell. And they are asking people to pay a premium for an unproven brand in India irrespective of their global reputation. However, they should have come in with more aggressive pricing strategy to get market share.
Does the extra price of the XUV400 over the Tata Nexon EV justify its performance?
02 January 2025 05:54
It is great performance but I'm not sure it's worth the price difference. Tata has a little more experience in the EV game and Mahindra is still new. The Nexon would make me feel safer.
What will the Thar.e's price point do for its market position?
31 December 2024 10:45
The price has to equal the total cost of ownership. So, if you are going to run it long term, a higher upfront cost might be okay if it's cheaper to run.
What does the e2o Plus offer compared to similarly priced, petrol hatchbacks?
31 December 2024 10:14
It's apples and oranges. In stop and go traffic where petrol cars are at their worst, the e2o is a winner. However, for longer drives and if you like to drive a petrol hatch remains more fun and more versatile.
How does the BE 6e stack up performance wise against similarly priced ICE SUVs?
31 December 2024 10:05
The BE 6e is impressive, but it's a different kind of performance, as someone who's driven both. On twisty roads I miss the engine sound and gear changes of an ICE, but it’s great for city driving.
The BE 6e will be a premium priced device, will its advanced features justify it?
31 December 2024 10:05
That’s a big deal, because these are over the air updates. This means that the car can get better over time, which could explain the higher up front cost.
Can the Mahindra BE.07's premium features live up to its expected high price tag?
31 December 2024 09:45
I believe that they're looking at the wrong market to serve. Mahindra buyers don't really care about tech showcases but rugged, affordable SUVs.
Does the Mahindra BE.05's expected price tag justify an Indian brand?
31 December 2024 09:39
I think it's smart pricing. It's not so expensive that it's unattainable, but it is aspirational enough to make you want to spend more money on less. This puts Mahindra in the premium EV space, a category in which it can now seriously play.
Is the S Cross a premium NEXA experience or that of a Maruti overpriced?
31 December 2024 09:20
It does look and feel more premium than regular Marutis though, and I say this coming from someone who owns an S Cross, it just feels more premium in terms of NVH levels and ride quality. It's not luxury car territory, though.
Will Maruti NEXA Jimny EV's expected higher price point push away its typical budget conscious buyers?
31 December 2024 09:14
To make up for the rise in price, the government incentives for EVs might help. The petrol version could be not that much more expensive.
Is the Jimny worth its high price?
31 December 2024 09:03
Absolutely not worth it. You are paying Thar money for a glorified Alto on steroids. It’s an ancient engine, and you don’t get nearly as much bang for your buck as you would with other options in that price range.
What will be the Urban Cruiser EV's market position with its price?
31 December 2024 06:59
We need the price low enough to overcome the first gen Toyota EV concerns some people have, but high enough to get a profit. An incentive is required to get early adopters to take the risk.
What are some of the reasons the Fortuner Legender is priced close to luxury European SUVs in the same range?
31 December 2024 06:36
European SUVs are the choice for pure on road comfort. The Legender is more versatile, however. It’s comfortable enough on highways, and can do off road stuff that would make those luxury SUVs cry.
How does driving the Innova Crysta compare, when compared to Sedan SUV’s in the same price bracket.
31 December 2024 06:16
There is no comparison for the Innova's ride quality. Sure it might look cool in SUVs for someone, but when it comes to an Innova on a rough road its comfort, dull as it might be will always surprise you.
As fuel prices go up, is the Innova Crysta's fuel efficiency a cause for worry?
31 December 2024 06:16
What it lacks in fuel efficiency, it makes up for with heavy load carrying. It’s worth it if you’re someone who travels with a full car every now and then.
Will the Maruti eVX’s expected price point be a game changer in the Indian EV market?
30 December 2024 10:01
I don't see how they can go that low without killing battery or functionality. I guess it will come to be somewhere around 18-20 lakhs.
Is the XUV 3XO’s ADAS features worth its price premium over competitors?
27 December 2024 11:52
It is an overkill for Indian roads. The best advice is to save your money and go for a cheaper variant without ADAS.
Can the Thar Roxx justify the 25 lakh price tag?
27 December 2024 11:33
Absolutely not worth it. For 25 lakhs, you get much more refined and feature packed SUVs which are better for day to day use.
