Is the XUV 3XO’s ADAS features worth its price premium over competitors?

In the compact SUV segment, the Mahindra XUV 3XO has shaken things up by giving Level 2 ADAS features at an affordable price. That has raised questions about whether those advanced safety features are worth paying extra for compared with competitors that might have similar performance and comfort without ADAS. While there are those who argue that these are features which will change the game for safety and convenience, particularly in Indian traffic conditions, there are those who doubt their utility and dependability in real world deployments. It is often debated if the long term value proposition makes sense, if ADAS works on Indian roads, or if these features are really necessary for the average driver. Divided along potential buyers and automotive enthusiasts, it is a topic.

Absolutely! Every extra rupee for those safety features is worth the peace of mind.

It is an overkill for Indian roads. The best advice is to save your money and go for a cheaper variant without ADAS.

At first I was skeptical, but using it I can hardly imagine driving without ADAS now.

It's nice to have but it doesn't justify a huge price jump. Personal preference, I guess.

Surprisingly, the ADAS works well in city traffic. If you commute a lot this is definitely worth considering.

To be honest, I’d rather put that money towards better interiors, or performance upgrades, for instance.

It’s a good selling point, I just don’t think it’s reliable enough to rely on just yet.
