How will the Hunter 450 price relative to competitors?
10 January 2025 12:20
They will price it premium I think, around 2.6 to 2.7 lakh. People will pay for the bigger engine and the RE badge and the Hunter brand is strong.
Is the Himalayan 450's liquid cooling the price of the simplicity that made the original popular?
09 January 2025 10:57
If you crack the radiator, liquid cooling is only an issue. You just add a guard and you're good.
But will the Himalayan 650 command a price premium over the 411, as expected?
09 January 2025 10:54
It's all relative. It will probably still undercut the big adventure bikes by a lot even if it's pricier. It could be a great middle ground for those who want more power than a KLR or DL650, but can’t justify spending big bucks on a GS or Africa Twin.
Is the Himalayan 450 worth its price bump over the previous model with new features and performance?
09 January 2025 10:50
But you have to think about what you get for that price hike. It’s not a bumped up 411, it’s an entirely new bike. Feature for feature, it's still a bargain when you compare it to other adventure bikes. I think RE had to raise the price to make all these improvements and I think they've hit a good balance.
In the same price range as Japanese bikes, how does the Continental GT 650 Mr Clean measure up in terms of reliability?
09 January 2025 10:09
I have a bulletproof GT 650. I think RE has really stepped up their game with this model.
What does the Goan Classic 350’s price point do to its value proposition in comparison to other Royal Enfield models?
09 January 2025 09:36
It’s priced for enthusiasts that want something unique, but don’t want to go through the hassle of customizing. Because not everyone has the time or the skills to mod their bike, this fills a nice niche.
Is the tubeless spoke wheel upgrade on the Classic 350 Bobber worth its higher price?
09 January 2025 09:24
It’s a nice feature, but I’m not going to pay that much more money for it. You'd probably be able to get aftermarket tubeless wheels for less.
Is the Bullet Trials 350 overpriced?
07 January 2025 11:58
It's definitely overpriced. You're paying a premium for it, when it's basically the same bike as a regular Bullet with some cosmetic changes. They simply are not worth the money, there are better options out there.
Will the Himalayan 450's less expensive price tag and slightly lower feature set cannibalize sales from the Bear 650's more premium features?
07 January 2025 11:14
No, they go after different riders. If you’re a serious off road enthusiast, the Himalayan 450 is for you, however, if you are more the urban rider who occasionally takes trails, the Bear 650 is for you.
Can the MG Hector Plus justify the price premium over its 5 seater sibling?
07 January 2025 09:30
It’s not just the extra seats that make the Plus feel more premium overall. It’s worth it for me thanks to the interior upgrades.
Is the Lykan Hypersport's $3.4 million price tag actually justified?
06 January 2025 12:08
Partially justified. A lot of it is the engineering and the exclusivity, but there is definitely a 'hype tax' in there.
What do the Sonet Anniversary Edition's features look like compared to rivals in the same price range?
06 January 2025 07:17
It's a mixed bag. For its part, some areas are really good (like the LED headlamps), but its lack of connected car features is disappointing.
Will the Kia EV5’s lower price point disrupt the electric SUV market?
03 January 2025 11:54
It’s very disruptive, but let’s see how it goes. Do you remember when everyone was convinced the Chevy Bolt was going to change everything? Yeah, me neither.
Does the Venue N Line deserve a price premium over the top spec regular Venue?
03 January 2025 07:12
Totally worth it! The whole driving experience is transformed by the N Line’s upgrades. The suspension is stiffer, it looks sportier and there are exclusive features such as the front dash cam, all of which instantly make you feel like you’re driving a different car.
Does the Hyundai Nexo's high price tag come with the technology and features to back it up?
02 January 2025 12:16
I think it's justified. It is cutting edge fuel cell technology and a view into the future of transportation … you are paying for.
What are the price point of the Inster and does it impact its market position and target audience?
02 January 2025 11:38
They can’t go too high, because it will push buyers towards more established brands, but the unique features might justify a slightly higher price.
Is the Hyundai i20 really overpriced?
02 January 2025 10:45
I think it is priced right for what you get. In terms of quality, features and a credible after sales service network, Hyundai's price tag is justified. It’s not just about the specs on paper.
Is the Hyundai Alcazar an overpriced Creta with extra seats?
02 January 2025 07:10
I’d say, as an Alcazar owner, it’s worth it. The feel is more upmarket with features like extra ventilated seats and wireless charging and the ride quality feels way better than that of the Creta. For small families that need occasional 7 seat capability but don’t want the full size SUV, it’s perfect.
Does the Alcazar make sense in terms of the Creta's premium features compared to the Alcazar's price?
02 January 2025 07:10
Absolutely! The Creta feels like an upgrade, and the Alcazar feels like a proper upgrade. The 360-degree camera alone is a game changer for parking in tight spots. It also feels much more premium, thanks to the larger infotainment screen, and the digital instrument cluster.
Does the Alcazar build quality and long term reliability stack up to its price tag?
02 January 2025 07:10
It’s ok for the build quality, but I am worried about the long term reliability of all the electronic gizmos. Now, things like the digital instrument cluster and the rotating infotainment screen are cool, but what are they going to be in a few years when they start causing problems? It could be a nightmare of repair costs.
