How does driving the Innova Crysta compare, when compared to Sedan SUV’s in the same price bracket.

Despite being an MPV, the Toyota Innova Crysta is meant in the same class as SUVs in the same price range, due to its size and because of the price point. It has many buyers thankful to the fact that it is also considered alongside popular SUVs like the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and the Toyota Fortuner. The Innova Crysta is famous for its comfortable ride and performance and is based on a different platform than most modern SUVs. This results in differences between their drive dynamics, handling and general feel of a motorcar on the road. On highways, SUVs tend to give a much higher seating position and feel more planted, on the more bumpy city roads, the Innova would give a far smoother ride. This comparison begs the question – what is a good driving experience in India? What's it about, comfort, handling, power, a little of all three? Were Innova's monocoque SUVs for ride quality and handling superior than Honda MPV based chassis? Can Innova's reputation for reliability and low maintenance costs compensate for driving dynamics that are seen to be inferior by some?

It drives way better than most SUVs. Better handling and easier parking in cities are reasons why it's more car like.

You definitely feel more powerful behind the wheel of SUVs and it’s fun driving them. The Innova is comfortable but is bereft of daring on highways.

Inno for longer drives. Top heavy SUVs tend to be a lot less stable at high speeds.

There is no comparison for the Innova's ride quality. Sure it might look cool in SUVs for someone, but when it comes to an Innova on a rough road its comfort, dull as it might be will always surprise you.

I don’t get to drive much, but I can definitely tell you that I’ve driven them both, and I prefer SUVs. With the higher seating position possessed better visibility and better sense of control.

In the city rush Innova feels more response. The larger ones feel sluggish in comparison to SUVs.

That depends, on the roads you drive on. An SUV might be better, for highways. The Innova is also much more versatile for mixed driving.
