Can the Mahindra e2o Plus be truly practical for daily city commutes?
31 December 2024 10:14
It’s been over a year now that I’ve been using the e2o Plus for my daily office commute and it has been a game changer! It goes a lot further than my 30km round trip and I just plug it in at night. No more visits to the fuel station, or oil changes. It's also so easy to park in tight spots.
What are the long term reliability and maintenance cost of the e2o Plus?
31 December 2024 10:14
Reliable? Ha! I have had my e2o in the service center more times than I can count. The AC compressor failed twice and the random electronic gremlins are too numerous to mention. And how do you find a mechanic that knows how to fix these things? Good luck!
Does the e2o Plus' safety features give you the confidence to drive on Indian roads?
31 December 2024 10:14
It's as safe as you drive it. I keep to city limits and drive defensively. In chaotic traffic, the car's agility actually is a help in avoiding accidents. I wouldn't want to be in it during a major collision, though.
What does the e2o Plus offer compared to similarly priced, petrol hatchbacks?
31 December 2024 10:14
It's apples and oranges. In stop and go traffic where petrol cars are at their worst, the e2o is a winner. However, for longer drives and if you like to drive a petrol hatch remains more fun and more versatile.
Is the e2o Plus a viable fleet vehicle for businesses or a vehicle for ride sharing?
31 December 2024 10:14
I have a small car rental business and we added two e2o Plus to our fleet. They do make for perfect short city trips, and the running costs are great. The downside is they have limited range so we can’t use them for longer rentals.
How practical is the BE 6e's unique styling?
31 December 2024 10:05
I wouldn't mind that sloping roof, but I would bet that tall people will hate sitting in the back. Style is less important than practicality for a family SUV.
Will Mahindra be able to back up the BE 6e's promised range and performance?
31 December 2024 10:05
The 0-100 time is impressive, but I suspect that repeated hard accelerations will kill it. When necessary ESVs can also throttle back to protect the battery.
Is the Mahindra BE 6e’s futuristic design a hit or miss?
31 December 2024 10:05
It's way too much for me. I prefer a more classic look. Everything here feels like it's trying a little too hard to be 'the future,' and will look dated really fast.
How does the BE 6e stack up performance wise against similarly priced ICE SUVs?
31 December 2024 10:05
The BE 6e is impressive, but it's a different kind of performance, as someone who's driven both. On twisty roads I miss the engine sound and gear changes of an ICE, but it’s great for city driving.
The BE 6e will be a premium priced device, will its advanced features justify it?
31 December 2024 10:05
That’s a big deal, because these are over the air updates. This means that the car can get better over time, which could explain the higher up front cost.
The pricing strategy of the BE 09 will help in positioning and also in sales of the product in India.
31 December 2024 09:52
Pricing is tricky. If it’s too high, people will simply buy the established luxury brands. It wouldn’t be too low, because then people would think it’s ‘cheap’ despite the tech.
Is Mahindra BE 09's futuristic design a hit or a miss?
31 December 2024 09:52
I think it's a hit for me but I'm worried about practicality. Sure, those sharp angles might look cool but how is visibility? Good luck finding affordable body panels if you fender bender.
Will Indian owners of the BE 09 find the high tech features a boon or a burden?
31 December 2024 09:52
India needs these features and it’s about time we get them. Of course there are bound to be a few teething problems, but we can't continue to fall behind the rest of the world in automotive tech.
Will the Mahindra BE 09 be able to stand among international luxury EVs in the Indian market?
31 December 2024 09:52
But I can’t see it stealing many sales from Audi or BMW, which might carve out a niche. Mahindra doesn’t have the decades of luxury experience that those brands have, that isn’t something that can be done overnight.
Does the BE 09's reported 450km range stand up in Indian driving conditions and infra-structure?
31 December 2024 09:52
I think it's a good start. The fact is, most people don’t drive 450km in a day. It’s less about planning our trips differently and more about changing our mindset.
What will the Mahindra BE.07's all wheel drive option do differently than a traditional 4x4 system?
31 December 2024 09:45
It's going to be more capable than most owners are ever going to need. How many SUV buyers actually go off road? Let’s be real.
Can Mahindra really provide the promised 450km range for the BE.07?
31 December 2024 09:45
The real question is what that 80kWh battery will cost. Great range, but if that makes the car unaffordable, it's not so great.
Can the Mahindra BE.07's premium features live up to its expected high price tag?
31 December 2024 09:45
I believe that they're looking at the wrong market to serve. Mahindra buyers don't really care about tech showcases but rugged, affordable SUVs.
Will the Mahindra BE.07’s 175kW fast charging capability really be useful in India?
31 December 2024 09:45
For now, it's overkill, but it'll be great when the infrastructure catches up. It’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Is the Mahindra BE.07 too futuristic for the Indian market?
31 December 2024 09:45
Indian carmakers should be willing to take some chances with design, I think. It’s time we’ve been stuck with boring, boxy SUVs. The BE.07 looks sick!
