Will Mahindra be able to back up the BE 6e's promised range and performance?

Mahindra has made some very bold claims about the BE 6e's abilities, such as the top variant offering a range of 682 km on a single charge and performance figures that read 6.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. On paper, these numbers look great, but it’s difficult to deliver them in real world conditions, particularly for a company that is still relatively new to the business of producing high end electric vehicles. Values such as fuel economy, climate, and EV dynamics are sensitive to driving conditions and strong functions of climate, as well as battery degradation with time. That brings up the question of how consistently the BE 6e is able to output this performance, especially when it comes to the fast charging and power output over time. The only worry that potential buyers may have is a mixed track record from Mahindra with electronics in their vehicles. Are these claims realistic? Can Mahindra gain the trust of their EV technology? Is the BE 6e all it's cracked up to be, or are these figures overly optimistic marketing claims?

Those range figures are too good to be true. I'll believe it when real world tests from actual owners are posted.

Mahindra have been upping their game lately. If they've engineered the powertrain as well as they have the design, it may be impressive.

If it doesn’t hit those exact numbers, it’ll probably still be pretty good. In real life, most EVs don’t even match their WLTP range.

What I'm more interested in is how it's going to perform after a year or two of usage. Will the battery hold up? That's the real test.

The claims of performance are exciting, but reliability is what I care about. If it means the car is dependable, I’d rather have slightly less range.

Even if they can deliver 80% of what they are promising, it’ll be a great EV for the Indian market.

I'm cautiously optimistic. This could be their chance to prove themselves, since Mahindra's been investing heavily in EV tech.

The 0-100 time is impressive, but I suspect that repeated hard accelerations will kill it. When necessary ESVs can also throttle back to protect the battery.

I wonder how it will work in extreme weather. EV range is affected by both hot summers and cold winters.
