The standard Chetak, on the other hand, has a reliability track record that doesn’t appear as consistent. The extra quality shows.

Range anxiety? What range anxiety? I charge once a week and commute 30km a day. That's more than enough for city use.
Is the range anxiety of the Chetak 3201 a real problem for daily commuters?

It's definitely an issue. If I need to make an unexpected trip, I always get stressed about finding a charging point. It’s just more convenient to have a petrol scoot.

It’s real, but it’s largely psychological rather than practical. It’s no big deal after a few weeks, you get used to planning your trips.

The sport mode kills the range, I've found. Stay on eco mode and you will easily hit 130 – 140km. It’s more than enough for most people.
In heavy traffic and on steep inclines, how does the Chetak 3201 perform?

I have the Chetak in a hilly area and it works its way up inclines quite well. You won't expect it to zoom with a pillion.

It’s what you dream about in heavy traffic. It is easy to maneuver, the low speed balance and instant torque makes it easy. It’s way better than my old petrol scooter.

On steep roads it struggles, especially in Eco mode. The range is eaten into because I have to switch to Sport. Bit of a trade-off.
In heavy traffic and on steep inclines, how does the Chetak 3201 perform?

It's okay for performance, but it gets hot fast in stop and go traffic. In these conditions I worry about long term reliability.
