Is the lack of ABS on the Bajaj Blade 125 a deal breaker for you, safety conscious rider?
The Blade 125 has CBS (Combined Braking System) instead of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). Although CBS affords some better braking over stock brakes, it is not as advanced, nor as good at stopping you, as ABS in emergency situations or on slippery surfaces. This has stirred the pot among people who are considering buying and motorcycle aficionados. Others say ABS should be mandatory on all bikes, regardless of engine size, given the huge safety benefit. Some say that CBS is sufficient for a 125cc commuter and keeps the cost down. There is much discussion on whether the absence of ABS is a big safety issue or does it make an adequate tradeoff for a beginner motorbike.

I'm torn. But if it means a big price hike, many buyers will simply be priced out.

It's disappointing. Bajaj could have been the leader in safety by offering ABS in a 125cc.

City speeds are good enough for CBS. If you need ABS to ride a 125cc aggressively, you’re doing it wrong.

ABS is preferable, but CBS is better than nothing. At the price point, it’s a decent compromise.

A deal breaker for me is no ABS. Newer riders should always keep safety first.

CBS is OK for a 125cc commuter. That would just increase the cost unnecessarily, with ABS.
