USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The 2008 Honda Civic, particularly the Special Edition, is a stellar choice for those seeking a blend of performance, comfort, and reliability. From my experience, this car stands out with its powerful 1.8 i-VTEC engine, which delivers a thrilling drive, especially when the VTEC kicks in around 5,000 rpm. The engines quiet idle and the distinctive growl as it revs up are music to the ears. The interior, though vintage, is beautifully designed with a functional split instrument cluster, comfortable seats, and ample storage space. While it may lack the modern gizmos, it has everything necessary for a satisfying driving experience. Overall, its a great option for those who value driving pleasure and durability.
Price
When the 2008 Honda Civic was new, the prices in India varied based on the variant. For the manual transmission model, the ex-showroom price ranged from around Rs. 10.23 lakh to Rs. 13.87 lakh, depending on the trim level. The automatic transmission models were priced slightly higher, starting from around Rs. 11.69 lakh. As for the on-road price, you could expect to add another Rs. 1-2 lakh to the ex-showroom price, accounting for taxes, registration, and other costs. In the used car market, prices can vary widely based on the cars condition, mileage, and location, but you can generally expect to pay between Rs. 4-7 lakh for a well-maintained 2008 model.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 07:36 PM The mileage of the 2008 Honda Civic in India is a crucial factor for potential buyers. The manual transmission variants are reported to offer around 10.6 to 14.8 kmpl, while the automatic transmission models provide approximately 9.4 to 13.9 kmpl, according to ARAI ratings. In real-world driving conditions, you can expect slightly lower figures, typically around 8-12 kmpl, depending on driving habits and road conditions. This makes the Civic a reasonable choice in terms of running costs, especially considering its performance and comfort.

The fuel economy is not the best

Charu Jain | 2 years ago

The Honda Civic is an amazing car with a great balance of comfort, power, and performance. However, it can be costly to maintain and has a lower mileage than some other cars. I have found it to be comfortable and it really feels like a super car when driving.

Unfortunately, the fuel economy is not the best, but that is why it is so powerful and capable. Overall, I would highly recommend the Honda Civic for its comfort and performance but just be aware that it may be a bit expensive to maintain.

The Honda Civic (2008) is an impressive sedan car packed with plenty of power, great speed and an outstanding suspension system. It offers an excellent fuel economy and a great value for the money. The car also has halogen front lights that give it a very distinctive look. The maintenance costs for this car are on the higher side but this is expected for such a powerful car. All in all, the Honda Civic (2008) is a great sedan car with plenty of features and great value for the money.
