The Honda Rebel 300 price starts at ₹2.22 lakh for the Standard variant, while the E-Clutch version costs ₹2.62 lakh, both ex-showroom Bengaluru. The decision is not simply whether to buy Honda's smaller cruiser: it is whether easier clutch operation is worth another ₹40,000 for the way you ride.

Two variants, one clear price difference

VariantEx-showroom Bengaluru priceMain distinction
Rebel 300 Standard₹2,22,000Conventional clutch operation
Rebel 300 E-Clutch₹2,62,000Electronically managed clutch operation

These are not on-road prices. Registration, insurance and any chosen accessories affect the amount on the final quotation. Honda also notes that the applicable ex-showroom price may vary at delivery, so a booking should not be mistaken for a guaranteed final invoice.

What E-Clutch does—and what it does not

Honda E-Clutch manages clutch engagement when starting, stopping and changing gears. The rider still selects gears with the foot shifter. It is therefore not a scooter-style automatic and should not be confused with a dual-clutch transmission that changes gears for you.

The clutch lever remains available for conventional operation. The appeal is straightforward for a rider whose regular journey involves repeated starts and stops: less clutch-lever work without giving up manual gear selection. Whether that convenience justifies the premium is a personal decision, best made after trying both variants.

What is known about the motorcycle?

The Rebel 300 uses a 286cc liquid-cooled engine and a low-slung, bobber-inspired design. Its blacked-out treatment and compact tank give it a different visual character from chrome-heavy traditional cruisers.

Launch coverage lists dual-channel ABS with disc brakes at both ends, an LED projector headlamp and a TFT display with RoadSync connectivity. However, Honda's product page still says detailed configurations and complete specifications will be unlocked in Q4 2026. Buyers should confirm the final India specification rather than import figures from an overseas model.

We are not treating circulated power and torque numbers as settled India-market specifications: the launch reports are inconsistent on whether those figures have been disclosed.

Bookings, deliveries and the checks that matter

Bookings are reported open for ₹5,000 through Honda's website and authorised BigWing dealerships, with deliveries reported to begin in mid-October 2026. That is a planned delivery window, not a promise that every booking will be fulfilled then. The Rebel 300 is a BigWing-exclusive model.

  • Ask for a written on-road quotation for your city and chosen variant.

  • Confirm the booking terms, allocation and expected delivery date with the dealer.

  • Try the seating position and low-speed manoeuvring rather than assuming a low seat guarantees a good fit.

  • For E-Clutch, request a demonstration of stopping, restarting and manual override.

  • Check the practicality of your nearest BigWing service location.

Should you pay the E-Clutch premium?

The Standard is the lower-cost route into Rebel ownership. The E-Clutch makes the stronger case when reducing clutch work is a priority and the extra ₹40,000 fits the total purchase budget. Neither choice can be decided from a specification sheet alone: ergonomics, intended use and local support deserve equal attention.

FAQs

Is the Rebel 300 E-Clutch fully automatic?

No. Clutch operation is managed electronically, but gear selection remains rider-operated through the foot shifter.

Is ₹2.22 lakh the on-road price?

No. It is the announced Standard variant ex-showroom Bengaluru price. Obtain a location-specific final quotation.

When are deliveries expected?

Launch reports indicate mid-October 2026. Confirm the allocation and timing for your individual booking.
