Honda Civic V Automatic

About
The Honda Civic V Automatic is a sleek and powerful sedan that stands out in its segment. It comes equipped with a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine producing 140 bhp and 174 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The car features a range of comfort and convenience options, including leather seats, a 7-inch full LCD instrument cluster, Android AutoApple CarPlay, voice commands, and automatic climate control. The safety package is robust, with four disc brakes, six airbags, and vehicle stability management. The LaneWatch feature, which provides a video feed from a camera on the left ORVM, is particularly useful for parking and changing lanes. The car also includes a remote engine starter and cooled seats, enhancing the overall driving experience. Despite some limitations, such as the low seating position and missing features like front parking sensors, the Civic V Automatic is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of style, performance, and luxury.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Civic V Automatic is a car that balances style, performance, and comfort, but it also comes with some notable compromises. I find the design to be stunning, making it a head-turner even among more expensive luxury cars. The ride and handling are superbly tuned for Indian roads, handling potholes and broken roads with ease while still delivering a grin-inducing experience on twisty roads. However, the lack of a manual transmission for the petrol engine and the absence of an automatic for the diesel engine limit its appeal for enthusiasts and urban commuters. The low seating position can be a challenge for elderly or those with joint issues, and the car could benefit from additional features like front parking sensors and electric adjustments for the co-drivers seat. Despite these drawbacks, the Civics interior feels premium and durable, and the safety features, including four disc brakes and six airbags, are commendable.
Price
The Honda Civic V Automatic is priced from Rs 17.7 lakh to Rs 22.3 lakh ex-showroom in India. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes, registration, and insurance, the price can go up to around Rs 20-25 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. While this pricing might seem steep for some, the Civic offers a unique blend of performance, safety, and luxury that justifies the cost. The top model, the Civic V CVT Petrol, is priced at Rs 17.95 lakh ex-showroom, which is competitive in its segment considering the features and performance it offers.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 04:00 PM The Honda Civic V Automatic offers a mileage of 16.5 kmpl, which is reasonable given its powerful 1.8-liter i-VTEC engine. For those concerned about running costs, this mileage is decent, especially if you are not planning to drive extensively. However, its important to note that actual mileage can vary based on driving conditions and habits. If fuel efficiency is a top priority, you might want to consider the diesel variant, but for those who value the smooth and powerful petrol engine, the Civic V Automatics mileage is acceptable.

The fuel economy is not the best

Charu Jain | 2 years ago

The Honda Civic is an amazing car with a great balance of comfort, power, and performance. However, it can be costly to maintain and has a lower mileage than some other cars. I have found it to be comfortable and it really feels like a super car when driving.

Unfortunately, the fuel economy is not the best, but that is why it is so powerful and capable. Overall, I would highly recommend the Honda Civic for its comfort and performance but just be aware that it may be a bit expensive to maintain.

The Honda Civic (2008) is an impressive sedan car packed with plenty of power, great speed and an outstanding suspension system. It offers an excellent fuel economy and a great value for the money. The car also has halogen front lights that give it a very distinctive look. The maintenance costs for this car are on the higher side but this is expected for such a powerful car. All in all, the Honda Civic (2008) is a great sedan car with plenty of features and great value for the money.
