Honda Civic V

About
The Honda Civic V is a well-rounded sedan that excels in several key areas. Its exterior design is sleek and attention-grabbing, with a coupe-like silhouette that sets it apart from other sedans in its class. Inside, the Civic boasts a premium cabin with soft-touch materials, plush leather upholstery, and ample storage options, although the boot space at 430 litres is somewhat limited. The car is available with both petrol and diesel engines, with the petrol engine paired with a CVT transmission that, while not ideal for enthusiasts, is smooth and efficient for everyday driving. The multi-link rear suspension ensures a comfortable ride and excellent handling, making it a joy to drive on various road conditions. Safety features include four disc brakes, six airbags, and vehicle stability management, adding to the cars overall appeal. Despite some minor drawbacks, the Civics blend of style, comfort, and reliability makes it a strong contender in the premium sedan segment in India.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Civic V is a vehicle that balances style, comfort, and performance, but it does come with some caveats. I find the Civics design to be stunning, making it a head-turner on Indian roads. The ride and handling package is tuned beautifully for Indias road conditions, handling potholes and broken roads with ease while providing a thrilling experience on twisty roads. However, the lack of a manual transmission for the petrol engine and the absence of an automatic for the diesel engine limit its appeal for enthusiasts and urban commuters. The interior quality is exceptional, with soft-touch materials and plush leather upholstery, but it misses out on some features like front parking sensors and electric adjust for the co-drivers seat. Despite these omissions, the Civics overall build quality and long-term durability make it a compelling choice for those seeking a reliable and comfortable ride.
Price
In India, the Honda Civic V is priced between Rs 17.7 lakh and Rs 22.3 lakh ex-showroom. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes and other expenses, the price can range from approximately Rs 20 lakh to Rs 26 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Civic in a competitive segment, where it faces stiff competition from other premium sedans. While it may not be the most practical car in terms of space and features, its premium feel and robust build justify the cost. For those willing to invest in a car that offers a blend of style, comfort, and reliability, the Civics price is reasonable.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 02:44 PM The Honda Civic V offers decent mileage, especially considering its performance-oriented engine. The petrol variant, which is the most popular, provides around 12-15 kml in city driving and up to 18 kml on the highway, depending on driving conditions. The diesel variant, known for its fuel efficiency, can deliver up to 20 kml in mixed driving conditions. These figures make the Civic a viable option for those concerned about running costs, especially for those who plan to use the car for both city commutes and long road trips.

The fuel economy is not the best

Charu Jain | 2 years ago

The Honda Civic is an amazing car with a great balance of comfort, power, and performance. However, it can be costly to maintain and has a lower mileage than some other cars. I have found it to be comfortable and it really feels like a super car when driving.

Unfortunately, the fuel economy is not the best, but that is why it is so powerful and capable. Overall, I would highly recommend the Honda Civic for its comfort and performance but just be aware that it may be a bit expensive to maintain.

The Honda Civic (2008) is an impressive sedan car packed with plenty of power, great speed and an outstanding suspension system. It offers an excellent fuel economy and a great value for the money. The car also has halogen front lights that give it a very distinctive look. The maintenance costs for this car are on the higher side but this is expected for such a powerful car. All in all, the Honda Civic (2008) is a great sedan car with plenty of features and great value for the money.
