USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of performance, comfort, and value for money. From my experience, this car stands out for its stable and comfortable ride, even at high speeds. The 1.1-liter FIRE engine, although not the most powerful, provides sufficient power for everyday driving and is particularly commendable for its smooth gear shifting and responsive handling. However, the heavy clutch can be a bit of a drawback. The cars build quality is robust, and it handles Indian roads admirably, making it a reliable option. While the interior design may feel a bit dated, the spaciousness and comfort of the seats are notable positives. Overall, its a good option for those looking for a dependable and comfortable hatchback without breaking the bank.
Price
The Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs. 3.78 lakh in Delhi. When considering on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price would have been approximately Rs. 4.5 lakh to Rs. 4.8 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given the features and performance it offers, this price point made it an attractive option in its segment. However, its important to note that the car is now discontinued, so any purchase would be in the used car market.
Latest Updates
Saturday, 17 July 2010 12:00 AM Fiat announced that the Palio Stile would be phased out from the Indian market due to declining sales. This decision marked the end of an era for a car that once had a significant presence in the Indian automotive scene. I think this move was inevitable given the rising competition in the hatchback segment.
Saturday, 29 May 2010 12:17 PM The Fiat Palio Stile received a facelift in 2010, which included new headlamps and a refreshed exterior design. The 1.6-liter petrol variant was particularly popular for its sporty looks and performance. I believe the facelift helped in keeping the Palio Stile relevant for a bit longer.

The cars sturdy build and comfortable ride made it a favorite among those who valued safety and performance. I think the Palio Stiles stability was one of its strongest selling points.
Sunday, 30 August 2009 11:51 AM Despite its strong points, the Palio Stile was criticized for its outdated interiors and lack of refinement in the engine noise. Owners noted that while the car performed well, it could have benefited from newer interior designs and better noise insulation. I believe these were significant oversights by Fiat.
Thursday, 09 July 2009 12:55 AM The Palio Stile was praised for its fuel economy, with owners reporting mileage of around 13-14 kmpl in combined city and highway driving. This was a notable feature given the increasing petrol prices at the time. I think the fuel efficiency was a major draw for budget-conscious buyers.
Monday, 15 June 2009 06:52 PM Fiat and Tata Motors joint venture led to improved service and customer care for Palio Stile owners. This partnership was seen as a positive step in addressing previous service-related issues. I believe this move helped in regaining customer trust.
Friday, 10 April 2009 12:04 AM The Palio Stiles engine performance was a highlight, with the 1.6-liter petrol engine delivering a responsive and powerful drive. However, some owners noted that the engine could be noisy when pushed hard. I think the performance was a key selling point despite the noise issue.
Sunday, 15 March 2009 07:07 PM The cars exterior design, particularly the 1.6-liter Sport variant in Ferrari Red, was well-received for its sporty and attention-grabbing looks. Tuesday, 13 January 2009 11:02 AM Fiat introduced the Palio Stile with a range of variants, including petrol and diesel options, priced between Rs. 3.41 lakh and Rs. 5.78 lakh. This pricing strategy aimed to capture a significant share of the hatchback market. I think the pricing was competitive but may not have been enough to overcome other market challenges.
Monday, 24 November 2008 07:12 AM The Palio Stile was known for its spacious interior, comfortable seating for three adults, and ample elbow room. These features made it a practical choice for family use. I believe the interior space was a significant advantage over some competitors.

This has the best engine in the b+ segment people who want a perol engine small car pls go for this 1 because this can last for long time and i know many people who crossed 200000ks in the old palio with the same engine and did not give much problem even after that.

I dont know if Fiat is going to keep this 1.6 engine for the new palio coming next year so people who love driving, low budget, no worries about mileage and travils long distance in highways, should go for this now because no other car in B+ segment can match this engine, all other car have 1.2L engenes and they dont have the same pulling power and cost more than thia palio. Punto 1.4L, 90bhp may do the job but it cost almost 1L moer than palio so dont miss this!!!!!!!!...
