Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011)
General information and overview
The Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) is a well-rounded hatchback that combines stylish looks with robust performance. Powered by a 1.1-liter FIRE engine, it produces 56 HP and 92 Nm of torque, making it suitable for both city driving and occasional highway trips. The car features a 5-speed manual transmission and has a kerb weight of 990 kg. It comes equipped with essential features like air conditioning, central locking, and a digital odometer. The Palio Stile SL is known for its stable handling, especially at high speeds, and its suspension system provides a comfortable ride even on rough Indian roads. The interior, while not the most modern, is spacious and comfortable, making it a good choice for families or those who value practicality and reliability.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of performance, comfort, and value for money. From my experience, this car stands out for its stable and comfortable ride, even at high speeds. The 1.1-liter FIRE engine, although not the most powerful, provides sufficient power for everyday driving and is particularly commendable for its smooth gear shifting and responsive handling. However, the heavy clutch can be a bit of a drawback. The cars build quality is robust, and it handles Indian roads admirably, making it a reliable option. While the interior design may feel a bit dated, the spaciousness and comfort of the seats are notable positives. Overall, its a good option for those looking for a dependable and comfortable hatchback without breaking the bank.
Recent news and announcements
Fiat announced that the Palio Stile would be phased out from the Indian market due to declining sales. This decision marked the end of an era for a car that once had a significant presence in the Indian automotive scene. I think this move was inevitable given the rising competition in the hatchback segment.
The Fiat Palio Stile received a facelift in 2010, which included new headlamps and a refreshed exterior design. The 1.6-liter petrol variant was particularly popular for its sporty looks and performance. I believe the facelift helped in keeping the Palio Stile relevant for a bit longer.
Users reported that the Fiat Palio Stile had excellent stability and handling, especially at high speeds. The cars sturdy build and comfortable ride made it a favorite among those who valued safety and performance. I think the Palio Stiles stability was one of its strongest selling points.
Despite its strong points, the Palio Stile was criticized for its outdated interiors and lack of refinement in the engine noise. Owners noted that while the car performed well, it could have benefited from newer interior designs and better noise insulation. I believe these were significant oversights by Fiat.
The Palio Stile was praised for its fuel economy, with owners reporting mileage of around 13-14 kmpl in combined city and highway driving. This was a notable feature given the increasing petrol prices at the time. I think the fuel efficiency was a major draw for budget-conscious buyers.
Pricing details and changes
The Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs. 3.78 lakh in Delhi. When considering on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price would have been approximately Rs. 4.5 lakh to Rs. 4.8 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given the features and performance it offers, this price point made it an attractive option in its segment. However, its important to note that the car is now discontinued, so any purchase would be in the used car market.
Fuel efficiency information
The mileage of the Fiat Palio Stile SL (2011) is quite respectable, especially considering its performance. It offers a mileage of around 15.5 kmpl, which is consistent across both city and highway driving. This makes it a cost-effective choice for daily commuting and long drives alike. The fuel efficiency, combined with its robust engine, ensures that running costs are kept in check, making it a practical choice for buyers concerned about mileage.

This has the best engine in the b+ segment people who want a perol engine small car pls go for this 1 because this can last for long time and i know many people who crossed 200000ks in the old palio with the same engine and did not give much problem even after that.
I dont know if Fiat is going to keep this 1.6 engine for the new palio coming next year so people who love driving, low budget, no worries about mileage and travils long distance in highways, should go for this now because no other car in B+ segment can match this engine, all other car have 1.2L engenes and they dont have the same pulling power and cost more than thia palio. Punto 1.4L, 90bhp may do the job but it cost almost 1L moer than palio so dont miss this!!!!!!!!...
Fiat Palio Stile is a Wonderful car...Great build quality, safety and comfort
