Our take on this /// Verdict
The Chevrolet Sail U-VA LS ABS (Petrol) is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and value. On the positive side, it offers a refined petrol engine, though it lacks the punch needed for brisk acceleration, particularly when the air conditioning is on. The gearbox, while adequate, can feel unfocussed at times. However, the car excels in comfort and space, making it a good choice for family commutes and city driving. The ride quality is smooth, especially in low speeds, and the suspension handles Indian roads well. Despite some drawbacks, such as poor torque in lower revs and occasional issues with gear shifting, the Sail U-VA LS ABS (Petrol) remains a viable option for those seeking a spacious, feature-laden, and reasonably priced hatchback.
Price
The Chevrolet Sail U-VA LS ABS (Petrol) is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant starts at around 5.49 lakhs. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price can go up to approximately 6.5 lakhs to 7 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the Sail U-VA LS ABS (Petrol) an attractive option compared to other hatchbacks in its segment, offering a good balance of features, space, and affordability.

While buying a car we have to consider sum total of it like space, comfort, safety, brakes, engine, mileage, suspension, ingress and egress, driver's view, feeling of fatigue during long drive. I don't feel pain in the back and in neck while driving 6-7 hrs at a stretch. My age is 50 plus. So I think this is the one of the best hatchbacks.
