Honda Brio E
General information and overview
The Honda Brio E is Hondas entry-level hatchback that has been praised for its charismatic looks, peppy motor, and chic interiors. With a compact design, it is ideal for navigating through congested city roads and is easy to park. The Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 86.8 bhp and 109 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It features basic but essential amenities such as electric power steering, manual AC, keyless entry, and a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity. Safety features are limited in the E variant, with only an engine immobiliser, but the top variants offer dual front airbags and ABS with EBD. Despite its discontinuation, the Brio remains a solid choice for those looking for a fun, efficient, and easy-to-handle city car.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Honda Brio E is a compelling option for those seeking a fun-to-drive and handling-oriented vehicle, especially in the urban landscape. While it boasts a charming exterior design and a fresh, solidly built interior, it does come with some notable drawbacks. The lack of a diesel engine option and the limited boot space are significant concerns, particularly for those who need more cargo room. Additionally, the ride quality can be bumpy, and the feature list, although adequate, feels somewhat bare-bones compared to its competitors. However, the Brios 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine delivers a good balance of power and fuel efficiency, making it a joy to drive on city roads. Overall, its a great choice for singles or couples but may not be the best fit for families due to its limitations.

Superb Car....beats beat in all aspect, its like a small JAZZ
Watch out hyundai i15 is the best car for middle class family
Absolutely no regrets for buying the car.Was little worried earlier to experiment my first Indian car. Have always trusted Honda in US but did know how the Indian cars will be and that too on Indian roads. But after getting the delivery,it won't be incorrect to say Honda still keeps up its promise of making excellent cars. Feels great to own the car. Smooth drive with nice interiors, exteriors and features. Good job Honda.!!!!!
interiors are very good and its an eye catching car frm exteriors...and one will definitely enjoy driving brio...d car really loves u back... :)
My earlier test drive was a showroom test drive. Yesterday I had a comprehensive test drive for over half hour. Fun car. I own a CIVIC and the Brio drive feels like a big car as good as CIVIC, need not be careful, like driving a CIVIC in city traffic. with a Kerb weight of 920 kgs, and a turning radius of 4.5 mtrs and 88 bhp peppy engine with an Arai certified mileage of 18.7 kmpl, it is the smartest package on road. The color red looks ravishing. Waiting for my car to be delivered.
It looks good from rear specially the extended glass. But the interior space in rear is a bit less. Never mind i saw yesterday 5 people sat in the back seat, after all its a H O N D A
Undoubtedly, Brio is one of the best hatchbacks which is in town now. With 1200 CC engine delivering power of 88 BHP, having body colored bumper, power steering with a starting price of Rs. 3.95 Lacs, backed by engineering of Honda - Brio will certainly go for a strong contender to challenge any other cars.
Hi I test drove a Brio. Great Engineering, Smart car, as good as a Jazz. Inner space is average compared to a jazz but as good as a swift and others. The boot space is extremely poor. It can only be a City car or a peppy students car, but never a family car. I understand they are launching the sedan/ Saloon version the three box car in mid 2012. That will be good as a beginners family car. In India boot space is important. Honda should realise it and do the needful, else will not be able to achieve volumes.
@nit nit Buddy you gone mad....1.2 ltr engine and 88 BHP power in 2.5 L..... Even Swift has 86 BHP power starts with 4.22 L. You can say this price for 800 CC cars, not for 1000 cc or 1200 cc cars.... first see the tech specification and category before giving opinion.
its good but only the engine rest every thing is very samll for a small big car..
