Yamaha Xabre 150 Review

Also known as the famous M-Slaz, the Yamaha Xabre 150 is a sports bike that goes with this name in Indonesia. With a 150 cc engine at its heart, the naked roadster is expected to be launched in India soon. The Yamaha Xabre 150 once launched will compete in the market with the likes of CB150R Streetfire and Suzuki GSX-S150 in its segment. It is available in the market in three stunning shades- Matte Red, Green Army and Silver White.

Coming to the engine specifications, the Yamaha Xabre 150 is powered by 149cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, a 4-valve engine capable of producing a maximum power of 16.09 Bhp @ 8500 rpm and a torque of 14.3 NM @ 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are handled by 37 mm Upside Down (USD) telescopic forks at the front while the rear wheel gets a swing arm shock absorbers. It gets a 267mm Hydraulic Single Disc brake at the front and a 220mm Hydraulic Single Disc brake at the back. The absence of ABS is a disappointment though. The all-digital instrument console with all the latest parameters and ratios complements is style.

The kerb weight of 135 kgs has made it a better companion on the road as compared to its rivals while the ground clearance of 164 mm is sufficient to handle the bike well on sharp corners. The bike has a claimed mileage of 35 kmpl in the city while it gives 45 kmpl on the highways. There have been no details about its launch in India.
