USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Yamaha Saluto Matt Green, although discontinued, leaves a mixed impression. On the positive side, it boasts a smooth and refined 125cc engine, which is well-suited for both city rides and longer journeys up to 100 km without causing back pain. The bikes light weight and comfortable riding position are significant advantages, making it accessible to a wide range of riders. However, the mileage, which ranges between 35-40 kmpl for some users, is a notable drawback. Additionally, issues with customer care, service center efficiency, and the availability of spare parts have been highlighted by several users. Despite these concerns, the Salutos overall performance, pickup, and handling are commendable, making it a decent choice for daily commuters, had it still been in production.
Price
The Yamaha Saluto Matt Green was priced competitively in the Indian market before its discontinuation. The ex-showroom price for the drum brake variant was Rs 60,880, while the disc brake variant was slightly higher at Rs 62,580. When considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, the total would have been around Rs 70,000 to Rs 72,000 for the drum brake version and approximately Rs 72,000 to Rs 74,000 for the disc brake version. Given its features and performance, the pricing was reasonable, especially for those looking for a reliable commuter bike.
