    29 December 2022 06:08

Yes, there have been many such complaints about Yamaha Saluto. It is even not safe to drive on highways because of its inefficient braking system. It has a light body which again is a drawback. Moreover, the bike doesn't yield a good mileage and it is again not the right choice for people looking for an economical bike. For your problem, the best you can do is to contact a nearest service station and get a solution for the same.

  • Is Yamaha Saluto a durable bike?

    29 December 2022 05:53

Yamaha Saluto is a durable bike as it comes with the peace of mind of being a Yamaha. You seems to be a great fan of 125 cc motorcycles and have gone through every aspect of the bike clearly. Its good to see you so happy with your ride and I would suggest you to go for a normal checkup at a Yamaha service center and as them about the power of the disc brake. Being a 245 mm unit, it definitely would be lesser powerful than 267 mm units on most of the bikes but would be definitely 2 ties better than a normal drum brake. You have paid a premium of INR 2,500 for the disc brake and you should ask them if there is any problem with the same.

  • I am little bit confused among the 125cc bikes - Honda CB Shine and Yamaha Saluto?

    29 December 2022 05:52

The better bike for your budget and long term use is the Honda CB Shine. The bike comes with a 124.7 cc engine, producing 10.12 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 10.54 NM @ 5,500 rpm. The power values of Shine are much better than Saluto's figures, making it more powerful and comfortable to ride. More BHP makes your top speed more whereas more torque increases the weight carrying capacity. With these values, two persons on a bike can ride more smoothly than the Yamaha Saluto's values. Shine gets a 4-speed gearbox and comes with an option of CBS(Combi Braking System), making it more practical and safe to use. It comes with a price tag of INR 55,559.

It comes with 144.8 cc engine producing 14.3 BHP and 12.75 NM of torque. It comes with a 200 mm petal disc brake for further aid in braking. Saluto claims a 74 kmpl mileage whereas the much powerful Discover 150F brings out 72 kmpl. It would be the best option as the bike features a good balance of power, economy and ride quality.
