Yamaha FZ-X 250 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The design of the upcoming FZ-X 250 will be heavily influenced by its smaller sibling, the FZ-X 150 in India. It will have a compact body and a round-shaped headlight. It might come with a two-level seat and block pattern tyres to give it a retro look. It is expected to be powered by the same 249cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC engine as the FZ 250 with air cooling. This 250cc retro bike will be equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch system. The Yamaha FZ-X 250 will have a max power output of 20.8 HP and a peak torque of 20.1 Nm.
Yamaha has equipped it with 41mm telescopic forks up front and a rear mono-cross suspension with adjustable preload. The suspension on the FZ-X 250 will be tuned to allow for max travel on both wheels. It will use a single 282 mm disc brake at the front wheel and a single 220 mm disc brake at the rear wheel for braking. It will have dual-channel ABS and might come with an off-road mode. The Yamaha FZ-X 250 might have projector LED headlamps and a negative LCD instrument console.
Yamaha has already released the smaller FZ-X 150 in India. The larger model is expected to be released soon as well. The FZ-X 250 was in the early stages of development last year and may be available in India by the end of this year. It is scheduled to debut in India in 2023. The Yamaha FZ-X 250 is expected to cost around Rs 1.80 lakh.
The new 250cc retro-styled motorcycle sounds more thrilling than its 150cc sibling. The Indian market has seen a high demand for retro-styled bikes in the entry-level segment. The upcoming Yamaha FZ-X 250 could be an excellent fit. It will be built around the same engine from the popular 250cc FZ series. It is known for its high performance and fuel efficiency. If the Yamaha FZ-X 250 is priced competitively, it will undoubtedly boost the brand's sales in the 250cc segment.
