Our take on this /// Verdict
The Triumph Bobber TFC is a unique blend of retro aesthetics and modern performance, making it a standout in the Indian motorcycle market. While it may not be the most practical bike for everyday commuting due to its aggressive riding position and limited comfort on rough roads, it shines on curvy roads where its stiff setup and eager handling come into play. The 1200cc parallel-twin engine is a highlight, offering substantial torque across the rev range and making it a joy to ride in the right conditions. However, the bikes design prioritizes form over function, which can be both a blessing and a curse. For those who value retro styling and are willing to compromise on comfort, the Bobber TFC is an excellent choice, especially with its enhanced performance and top-notch workmanship compared to the standard Bobber.
Price
In India, the Triumph Bobber TFC comes with a premium price tag, reflecting its exclusive nature and enhanced features. The ex-showroom price for the Bobber TFC can range around 18-20 lakhs, depending on the location and any customizations. Once you factor in road tax, registration, and other on-road costs, the total price can easily exceed 22 lakhs. While this is certainly on the higher side, the TFCs unique design, improved performance, and limited production run justify the cost for enthusiasts who are looking for a distinctive and high-quality motorcycle.

The Triumph Bobber TFC, part of the Triumph Factory Custom line, has been sold out globally, with only 750 units produced. This exclusive motorcycle boasts a 1,200cc High Torque engine, delivering 10 PS more power than the standard Bobber and Bobber Black. It also features a unique exhaust system with Arrow silencers and carbon fibre end caps. I believe this limited production run has made the Bobber TFC a highly sought-after collectors item.

The Bobber TFC is noted for its significant weight savings, being approximately five kilograms lighter than the Bobber Black, thanks to engine component refinements and carbon fibre bodywork. This reduction in weight enhances the bikes dynamic ride. I believe this weight reduction, combined with the increased power, makes the Bobber TFC a standout in its class.

Triumph has emphasized the exclusivity of the Bobber TFC, with each unit coming with a numbered edition plaque and unique badging. The bike also includes a special handover pack that includes a personalized TFC custom build book and exclusive bike cover. I think this level of exclusivity adds a lot of value for collectors and serious motorcycle enthusiasts.

The launch of the Bobber TFC marks Triumphs continued commitment to creating ultra-premium, limited edition motorcycles. This model follows in the footsteps of other successful TFC models like the Thruxton TFC and Rocket 3 TFC. I believe Triumphs strategy of producing these exclusive models is a great way to maintain a strong market presence and appeal to a niche audience.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 10:38 PM
The mileage of the Triumph Bobber TFC in India is respectable given its powerful engine and riding dynamics. You can expect to get around 15-20 kml in city riding conditions, which can improve to about 25-30 kml on the highway. This is relatively good considering the bikes 1200cc engine and the fact that it is designed more for performance and style rather than fuel efficiency. With a fuel tank capacity that allows for around 200km on a single fill, the Bobber TFC strikes a balance between power and practicality, making it suitable for both short city rides and longer highway trips.
