MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW | |
Vehicle Overview | 2024 Suzuki TU250X is a single cylinder, 249cc motorcycle that produces a max of 16 BHP at 7200 rpm and 17 Nm at 4500 rpm. Suzuki retails the same in limited markets as the motorcycle is not at all performance spec and claims a top speed of just 121 kmph. It weighs 148 kg and carries a retro design with dual rear forks. The fuel tank is just 12 liters and gets 770 mm of reasonable seat height. The wheels are 90/90-18 and 110/90-18 on the TU250X, surprisingly being tube type on the quarter liter motorcycle. If launched in India, it would be more like a collective machine than a competitive product. |

Suzuki TU250X Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Suzuki is a Japanese multinational corporation known for its best-selling bikes like Hayabusa, GSX-R1000, Intruder series and Inazuma GW250. Its headquarters are located in Hamamatsu, Japan. The company has launched the new TU250X, a classic rounder, retro style motorcycle in US. It is in speculation that it will be available in India by the end of 2015 or by mid 2016. Let's take a look at it.
Design and Style
Suzuki TU250X is a classic sports bike that is totally inspired from its traditional ancestors. The retro style motorbike features a round headlight, spooked wheels, chromed muffler, generous fuel tank and an old school frame. The perfectly angled handlebar and a low split seat offer a comfortable riding position. The TU250X is designed using the diamond shaped steel frame that offers compact chassis and easy to use ergonomics. The motorcycle retains its retro styling DNA with a chromed headlight case, front and rear wheels, tail light housing, speedometer cover and exhaust system. This dynamic bike carries you nearly everywhere with dignity and grace.
Dimensions and Fuel tank capacity
The TU250X comes with a length of 2070 mm, width of 750 mm and a height of 1075 mm as its dimensions along with a curb weight of 148 kgs. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 12.11 litres.
Instrument Panel
Suzuki TU250X features a fully analogue instrument console which includes a speedometer, trip-meter, odometer and a fuel gauge. The panel also bears indicators for pass-light, step-up seat, low fuel, battery and oil.
Engine and Gearbox
The bike is powered by the 249cc, air-cooled engine that kicks out a peak power of 16 bhp at 7200 rpm with utmost torque of 17 Nm at 4500 rpm. This 4-stroke, single cylinder, OHC engine is mated to a five speed constant mesh transmission and a wet, multi-plate clutch system. It comes with the option of an electric start and can reach a top speed of 121 kmph.
Brakes and Suspension
Suzuki TU250X is equipped with Tokico two-piston caliper single disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear part. On the other hand, suspension duties are handled by telescopic, coil springs, oil damped at the front while swing-arm type, coil springs and oil dampers are placed at the back.
Ride and Handling
It would be a great fun to ride this amazing motorcycle. The wheelbase of 1375 mm allows it to pass through tight and narrow streets easily. The tight turning radius allows a stable U-turn that helps you to grab the parking spot. The TU250X has a ground clearance of 165 mm that offers perfect off road capabilities and makes it suitable for hard conditions. The motorcycle has a tyre size of 90/90-18 M/C 51S mm at the front and 110/90-18 M/C 61S mm at the rear end.
Shades
Suzuki TU250X will be available in all new exciting combination of Metallic Mystic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black.
Warranty
The TU250X comes with a 12 month unlimited mileage limited warranty from Suzuki.
Price
The expected price of this roadster is INR 2.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) may vary.
