Expert opinion and recommendation
The Suzuki GZ150 is a compelling option in the cruiser segment in India, offering a blend of style, comfort, and performance. I find the bikes good looks to be a significant selling point, with a design that appeals to many potential buyers. The powerful 150cc engine, which is fuel-injected and paired with a 5-speed gearbox, provides more than sufficient power and torque, making it enjoyable for both city rides and long journeys. The bikes comfort is another standout feature, with many users praising its comfort during long rides. However, its important to note that the GZ150 may not be everyones cup of coffee, as some riders might find it heavier or less agile compared to other bikes in the same segment. Overall, its a solid choice for those looking for a cruiser that balances power and comfort.
Recent news and announcements
Suzuki Motorcycle India is set to launch the Suzuki GZ150, also known as the Suzuki Intruder 150, in the Indian market. This cruiser motorcycle is expected to compete with the Bajaj Avenger 150 and boasts an aggressive design with modern styling and a diamond-type frame chassis for weight reduction. The bike features a full digital meter and a 155cc engine tuned for efficient performance and fuel efficiency. I think this could be a game-changer in the cruiser segment.
The Suzuki GZ150 or Intruder 150 has been spotted with a wide and chunky mudguard at the rear and large twin-exhaust mufflers, adding to its aggressive design language. The motorcycle is expected to measure 2250 mm in length, 900 mm in width, and 1160 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1460 mm. This design is completely different from other cruisers in the Indian market. I believe the unique design will attract a lot of attention.
Suzuki has confirmed that the GZ150 will be powered by a 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled carburetor engine with a displacement of 155cc, similar to the Suzuki Gixxer but tuned differently for the cruiser segment. This engine is expected to deliver both efficient performance and fuel efficiency. The bike will also feature a programmable gear shift indicator and other advanced features.
The Suzuki GZ150 is already on sale in global markets like China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and it is now set to enter the Indian market. The bikes aggressive design, including its headlamps and exhaust mufflers, is expected to appeal to Indian buyers looking for a stylish cruiser. I think the global success could translate well to the Indian market.
There has been speculation that the Suzuki GZ150 might be priced competitively in India to take on its rivals. While the exact price is not confirmed, it is expected to be around the same range as other 150cc cruisers in the market. The competitive pricing could make it an attractive option for buyers.
Pricing details and changes
The Suzuki GZ150 is priced competitively in the Indian market. As of the latest information, the ex-showroom price of the Suzuki GZ150 is around 85,000. When you factor in additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, the on-road price can range from 1.05 lakh to 1.15 lakh, depending on the state and city. This pricing makes the GZ150 an attractive option for those seeking a cruiser bike without breaking the bank. However, its always a good idea to check with local dealers for the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, as costs can vary.
Fuel efficiency information
The mileage of the Suzuki GZ150 is a crucial aspect for potential buyers, especially in a fuel-conscious market like India. While the exact mileage figures can vary based on riding conditions and style, the GZ150 is generally reported to offer a decent fuel efficiency. With its fuel-injected engine, it is designed to optimize fuel consumption, and users have reported mileage ranging from 40 to 50 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. This makes the GZ150 a reasonable choice for daily commuting as well as occasional long trips, though actual mileage may differ based on individual usage patterns. Better to launch Gz 150 in india , Intruder is not of mcuh worth , as it`s body is fibre body , which is not longlasting and also dosent give a cruiser bike looks .......... Indeed avenger will be no where after gz150launch . Bajaj can only design the body but in terms of engine it is the worst company , i had a pulsar bike used to take care of bike in every manner never ever did rash driving still i had to pay alot in the maintainance , engine got within 2 years only , sometime facing timing chain issue some time cdi issue ............ Never ever buy any bajaj vehicle .............................
