Design and Style

Suzuki has been a reputed name in international motorcycle brands, but India knows them much better as the Maruti Suzuki car makers. Serving the people from last few decades in India,

Suzuki expanded its empire with its 2-wheeler range, introducing the Access 125 automatic scooter Suzuki has made a considerable share in the scooter market. After its success, a new member with an ability to repeat the history has arrived. The Suzuki Gixxer is a live example of true dedication towards engineering.

Design and Style

Gixxer has a naked street fighter look, typically sharp front headlight with a massive and edgy fuel tank. This muscular appeal of the bike increases when viewed from the back. Vibrant colors being violable for the bike make it an eye-catcher even in high traffic zones. The pulling power of Gixxer just keeps everyone few steps behind. The crown shaped headlight is inherited from the elder Suzuki offerings.

Engine and Performance

Gixxer is a true performance bike with a 154.9 cc, air-cooled BS4 engine, producing 14.6 BHP @ 8000 rpm and 14 NM @ 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five speed gearbox. The performance of Gixxer is higher than every bike in its segment, specially beating the FZ series with a 1.9 BHP difference. The bike accelerates much impressively than the figures given for its performance and it’s truly a fun to ride.

Comfort While Riding

Suzuki has tried its best to keep the ride a comfortable experience and no doubt they have passed their tests too. The ultra-light frame beneath the body gives the freedom of quick acceleration to the rider. The seat and handlebar position is a truly justified combination where the rider needs no difficult positions to drive, just sit straight and cruise.

Braking and Suspension

The Gixxer comes with a 266 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear end. It is now available with option of 240mm rear disc brake at an additional amount of INR 3,000.

Telescopic suspension at the front works to its best whereas the rear is managed by swing arm mono suspension. The wide tyre size of 100/80-R17 at the front and a massive 140/60-R17 at the rear provides a break free ride every time. This technical setup leads to a very pleasing and safe journey, every time you ride and everywhere you ride.

Mileage and Shades

The Suzuki Gixxer is an all-rounder with a mileage of around 35-40 kmpl for the city conditions and 45-50 kmpl for the highways. For a 150 cc bike, the figures are more than impressive. Gixxer is available in eye catching shades namely - Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mira Red.

Gixxer has every quality of being a superstar in the naked street bike category. From its performance to the looks, everything is much better than people expected from Suzuki and the pricing at the end takes it to the top.
