The Bajaj Pulsar 220(old) is an excellent bike. This bike riding quality is premium. It doesn't feel underpowered when you give the acceleration it instantly gives much more pickup. I have excellent mileage of 35 km and also have a powerful engine.

Bajaj Auto has finally launched the much awaited 2009 edition Pulsar 220. The Bajaj Pulsar 220 is priced at Rs. 70,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it Rs. 15,000/- cheaper than the old FI version bike and very attractive infront of the Yamaha FZ16 and TVS Apache 180. The new Pulsar 220 churns out maximum power of 21.04@8500rpm and maximum torque of 19.12@7500 rpm. Bajaj have optimized the gear ratios and claim a top speed of 144 kmph, making the new Pulsar 220 the fastest Indian bike. The bike does 0-100kmph in 11.30 seconds. 

Over the years, owners of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F have reported mixed experiences with reliability, particularly on long-distance trips. Some owners have noted issues with the chassis and the need for frequent maintenance, although Bajaj has made improvements through trial and error corrections. I think while its not perfect, the bikes performance and design make it worth the occasional hassle.

Even with the price increase due to BS6 regulations, it remains competitive in its segment.
