Bajaj Auto has officially discontinued the Bajaj Pulsar 220(old model). The bike is missing from the company’s website and dealers have stopped receiving the prices for the model. The company gave the bike a cosmetic upgrade in July 2021 by introducing the Dagger Edge Edition. With the Pulsar 220(old model) discontinued, what’s the alternative? Potential buyers can consider the newly launched Pulsar F250 which is available at Rs 1.41 lakh. The Pulsar 220(old), for reference, was available at Rs 75,000 before it was discontinued.

Tuesday, 05 November 2024 12:25 PM Despite its age, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F continues to be in demand, with customers still appreciating its power and design. The bike has become an iconic model in the Pulsar family, and its sales remain robust even with newer models available. I believe its enduring popularity is a testament to Bajajs ability to create a bike that resonates with Indian riders.
Friday, 04 November 2016 08:28 AM Over the years, owners of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F have reported mixed experiences with reliability, particularly on long-distance trips. Some owners have noted issues with the chassis and the need for frequent maintenance, although Bajaj has made improvements through trial and error corrections. I think while its not perfect, the bikes performance and design make it worth the occasional hassle.
Thursday, 03 November 2016 01:16 AM The Bajaj Pulsar 220F, even in its older models, was renowned for its performance, being considered the fastest Indian motorcycle for a long time. It boasted a 220 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing around 20 bhp of power and 18.55 Nm of torque. This made it a benchmark for testing the performance of other bikes in its segment. I believe this level of performance was a significant factor in its enduring popularity.
Thursday, 03 November 2016 06:02 AM In terms of design, the older Bajaj Pulsar 220F stood out with its muscular semi-fairing and modern features like projector headlamps and LED taillamps, which were unprecedented in Indian bikes at the time. The bikes design was ahead of its time, making it a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts. I think the blend of style and functionality contributed greatly to its success.
Thursday, 03 November 2016 12:47 PM The pricing of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F was another key factor in its success. Initially launched at a price below Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom), it offered exceptional value for money. Even with the price increase due to BS6 regulations, it remains competitive in its segment. I believe the balance between performance, design, and pricing made it a hard-to-beat option for many buyers.

I still use the 2007 220fi as my daily driver. One of the best bikes ever made. The only problem is that I cannot find it's parts anywhere.

I am the owner of the Pulsar 200 DTSi 2007 December model. in the review, it is mentioned as air-cooled but mine is oil-cooled. Now I am using the same bike for 11 and a half years it gives mileage up to 50 km in highways with good performance. Over all the bike is in good condition and enjoy riding this bike. In my opinion there is a lot to explain...

Best Features: ALL ARE GOOD

Pros: BEST IN THE CLASS

Cons: REAR DRUM BRAKE
