The Royal Enfield Hunter 350, one of the most-awaited motorcycles in the country by the brand, comes in two variants: a base Retro and a top-spec Metro. However, the Metro version also has a sub-variant named Metro Rebel. Therefore, the dual-tone colour scheme is divided into two segments called Dapper and Rebel. The colour scheme of the Metro variant includes six vibrant dual-tone shades called Dapper White, Dapper Ash, Dapper Grey, Rebel Black, Rebel Blue, and Rebel Red.

Powering the RE Hunter 350 is a 349cc, single-cylinder, twin-valve, air-cooled unit that is already available in the Meteor 350 and Classic 350 models. This engine is designed to belt out 20.2 HP of max power at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm of max torque at 4000 rpm. This engine is claimed to be more refined and, hence, projected for better performance. In terms of body weight, the Hunter 350 Metro weighs 181 kg as opposed to 178 kg for the Retro variant.

As for design and styling, the 2022 RE Hunter 350 Metro boasts an impressive appearance that is an impeccable blend of retro and modern style and technology. It comes with alloy wheels, which get accents according to the body colour. These alloy wheels are 17-inch units which are wrapped in different-sized tyres at the front and rear. It receives 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tubeless tyres, which are chunkier than the Retro variant.

The Royal Enfield Hunter does lack some basic features that are generally seen in other bikes in its segment. There is the lack of a slipper clutch, no selectable torque assist, no rear tyre width options, a single piston rear disc caliper, no LED headlamps, no LED indicators, a skinny overall look, no tachometer, and a meter console that looks like a bell on a bicycle. This is a shame as other bikes in the segment have these features, which makes the Hunter a less attractive option.

The Hunter is a great looking bike that will be sure to turn heads no matter where you go. The classic retro styling, with the round halogen headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, flat seat, small side panel with the Hunter branding and round tail-lamp, makes this bike look great. We tested the higher Metro variant in the Dapper Ash colour scheme which looks great on this bike. There is also the entry-level Retro variant on offer which gets simpler paint schemes and wire spoke wheels. The quality of the paint finish and the switchgear are very good considering the price point of the bike. All in all, the Hunter is an attractive and well-built bike that will surely make a statement wherever you go.
