Our take on this /// Verdict
The Jawa Classic Black, particularly the updated Jawa 350, is a significant improvement over its predecessors. My experience with this bike has been largely positive, with its classic retro design and modern touches making it a standout on the road. The new 334cc engine provides a robust mid-range performance, and the six-speed gearbox is precise and smooth. However, there are a few niggles, such as the vague rear brake response and the slightly stiff rear suspension. Despite these, the bike handles exceptionally well, feeling nimble and light, especially in city traffic. The ergonomic design, though slightly knees-up, is comfortable for shorter rides. Overall, while it still needs some refinement, the Jawa 350 is a compelling choice for those seeking a classic-retro style motorcycle with modern capabilities.
Price
The Jawa 350, including the Classic Black variant, is priced at Rs 2.15 lakh ex-showroom in India. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around Rs 2.60 lakh to Rs 2.80 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given the improvements in design, engine, and overall build quality, this price hike seems justified. The bike now competes closely with other popular models in its segment, such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, and offers a unique blend of classic aesthetics and modern performance.
Jawa Classic Black on road price is Rs 2.08 lakh in Delhi, Rs 2.15 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 2.10 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 2.13 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest Jawa dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.

The mileage of the Jawa 350 is a crucial aspect for potential buyers. From my observations and user reviews, the bike delivers a mileage of around 28 kmpl, which is respectable for a motorcycle in its class. The engines low-end torque and mid-range punch contribute to its fuel efficiency, making it a viable option for daily commuting as well as occasional long rides. However, mileage can vary based on riding conditions, maintenance, and personal riding style. Overall, the Jawa 350 strikes a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency. Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price |
Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges + 1% TDS. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
User Reviews for Jawa Standard
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
A perfect blend of retro and contemporary style eclipses all other goodies of this bike. Mileage is reasonable and drive most thrilling. It's braking and suspension are perfectly matched to its size, weight and Indian urban road conditions. Stability at high speeds and absence of vibrations are its hallmarks. Within this power pack and price band, no other bike stands even closer to it'.
Best Features: Smoothness to drive and its peppy nature.
Pros: Looks, looks and looks. Other parameters are simply eclipsed.
Cons: Absence of tubeless tyres.
I think bike should install a digital meter as well. It would be helpful. Seat should be better as my Royal Enfield provides better seat than my Jawa Classic.
Best Features: Look of Bike
Pros: Look of bike is good, performance is also top notch with a great mileage.
Cons: Seats should be more comfortable. Service station is almost 40kms away from my place.
This is a very good initiative from the Mahindra group. The features which uplift Jawa from Enfield Bullet are:-
(1). 6-speed gearbox.
(2). Liquid-cooled engine.
(3). Twin exhaust pipe.
(4). MPFI fuel injection.
(5). BS-VI emission norms compliant engine.
(6). A perfect combo of Great retro looks with modern features.
Best Features: Twin exhaust pipe with MPFI fuel injection.
Pros: 6 speed gear box, liquid cooled engine, MPFI fuel injection, twin exhaust pipe, a perfect combo of retro looks with modern features.
Cons: No rear disk brakes option.
It is like a dream come true for a Jawa enthusiast. The looks are almost similar to the one which my grandfather had at his time. Here is a game changer.
Best Features: Retro design & sound
Pros: Looks, exhaust
Cons: Kick start option must be present
