Hyosung GD250R Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Hyosung has been struggling from a long time to make its place in the Indian market, most launches of it failing due to the hefty price tags and the rise in competition, which mostly comes with a lower price and higher power. With all these problems in the way, the bike maker still wishes to make a bet and this time we expect the GD250R for their rescue.
The GD250R looks much sharp than any of the Hyosung offerings till date. It comes with a huge underbelly exhaust system, which looks really different than others. The front houses twin projectors and the side fairing looks even throughout the machine. It features a fully digital instrument console, which comprises of a single LCD panel showing all the values like speed, distance and rpm.
The best part of the bike comes here when we see the engine part. The GD250R is powered by 249 cc, single cylinder motor, producing 27.6 BHP @ 9500 rpm and 24.17 NM @ 7000 rpm. The same power was earlier generated through a double cylinder motor by Hyosung. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor is said to be quiet responsive and the reduced body weight facilitates the same.
The front comes with a 300 mm single disc brake whereas the rear is equipped with a 230 mm unit. The suspension work in the front gets 37 mm upside down forks and the rear being handled by dual side aluminum swing arm. It weighs around 155 kg and an excellent combo of 110/70 and 150/60 tires have been used for the front and rear respectively. Hyosung is said to launch the GD250R in Silver, White and Black shade with an expected price tag of INR 2,00,000.
