Bajaj Pulsar F250 Review

Detailed Review by Maxabout Team

Overview

On October 28 last year, Pulsar completed its 20 years and on this occasion, Bajaj launched two bikes in the Pulsar series in the Indian market. The two bikes that have been added in the series are the Pulsar F250 and N250, which are semi-faired and naked segment sports bikes respectively. Bajaj Pulsar is listed among the five most influential bikes in modern Indian history. The original Pulsars were game-changers that let Bajaj stand where the company is today, as a global motorcycle giant. Twenty years after the originals, today’s new Pulsars aim to change the game rather than enrich and enhance what the Pulsar has to offer.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Design and Style

The new motorcycles feature completely fresh designs with plenty of things resembling the existing Pulsar lineup. The differences between the naked and the semi-faired F250 are clearly in the front. Both bikes share the same fuel tanks, side profile and tail section. The rear looks smart with a large split seat, nice curve to the body panels as they meet the model version of the Classic Pulsar tail-amp. Over at the front, both use the same projector LED headlamps but they get different running lamps and of course, the F variant gets a semi fairing. They both rather are nice looking machines although they are not super attention-grabbing. The F250 is a more familiar design, this is quite a bit of the old pulsar 220 in its face and the old AS200 in the overall layout.

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 Engine and Gearbox

The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 is powered by a 249.07cc, SOHC, and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 24.5 HP at 8750 rpm and generates a top torque of 21.5 Nm at 6500 rpm and is coupled with 5-speed constant mesh gearbox along with assist and slipper clutch. Apart from that, the bike comes with BS6 compliance.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Instrument Console

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 is equipped with a new instrument console which remains simple but looks classy with its analogue rev counter. The digital part of this new display now has useful things like a clock, gear position indicator and distance to empty gauge.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Brakes, Suspension and Tyres

The bike stands on alloy-wrapped 17-inch front and rear MRF tyres. The stopping power comes from a 300mm disc brake with ABS at the front, and at the rear end, it has a disc brake of 230mm. The suspension baggage comprises a 37mm telescopic front suspension and a monoshock with Nitrox setup at the rear.

Key Features of New Bajaj Pulsar F250

Some of the key All New Bajaj Pulsar F250 features include: Bi-functional LED Projector Headlamp, Assist and Slipper Clutch, Infinity Display Console, USB Mobile Charging Near the Tank Flap, Gear Position Indicator, Distance to Empty, Nitrox Suspension, Tubular Frame, Boomerang LED DRLs.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Top Speed and Mileage

With its light clutch and easily accessible performance, the Pulsar F250 will be enjoyable in city traffic but it is also happy to hold between 100 and 120kph on the highway without the engine sounding harsh or stressed. For the top speed junkies, the bike offers approx 130kph. As for fuel efficiency, the Pulsar 250 has an ARAI certified number of 39kpl.

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 Colour Options

The two colour options offered by Bajaj Auto are Racing Red and Techno Gray and both the colours look awesome in their way.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Price Range in India

At present, the New Bajaj Pulsar F250 is available with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1.41 lakhs. For your reference, the motorcycle was launched for Rs 1.40 lakhs. The on-road price of Pulsar F250 is Rs 1.62 lakh in Delhi, Rs 1.67 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 1.64 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 1.66 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest Bajaj dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.

Difference Between Ex-Showroom Price & On-Road Price

Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentages for the State Registration Charges.

Competitors of Bajaj Pulsar F250

The all-new 2024 Bajaj Pulsar 250 is in the race for power with Suzuki Gixxer 250, Yamaha FZS 250, Bajaj Dominar 250, Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, KTM Duke 250.

Verdict - Should You Buy Bajaj Pulsar F250?

2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 is offering plenty of features along with decent looks and competitive engine output figures. The bike is arguably the most powerful bike at an affordable price and top performance is the priority. Apart from that, the addition of a classic analogue-digital display makes the deal more attractive. If you are looking for a hassle-free 250cc motorcycle with an on-road budget of around Rs 1.60 lakhs, Bajaj Pulsar F250 is one of the best options in its segment.

Motorcycles are not cell phones. They need to have durability. When someone invest more than 1.5 lacs he is expecting a motorcycle which will run smooth for at least 5 yrs without basic maintenance. I spent more than 50k to maintain my RS200 in 3.5 Yrs finally with a heavy heart sold it off. Very very poor built quality of bajaj. I am really disappointed. I loved my bike so much. But for such a poor built quality I had to sell it off.

Please add new features for a digital meter like Gear number indicator, Distance to empty, and Real-time mileage and also dual ABS channel. According to me, these features are most important for getting the best riding experience. Please you must add these features in pulsar 150 Dual disc brakes variant
