The good thing is that it’s great for daily use, but you do need to plan your trips more carefully. Spontaneous long rides without checking charging points are a thing of the past.

The cost savings are real. The only thing is that my electricity bills have gone up slightly, but not by a lot and nowhere near what I used to spend on petrol.

I'd say it's about 90% there. What I miss is that I can no longer refuel quickly on long trips. Charging still takes a while.

It is perfect as a daily driver. I kept my petrol bike for those rare long distance tours. Best of both worlds!

It’s hugely underrated. It's just so much easier to keep running: no oil changes, no tune ups.

It’s dependent on your lifestyle, I think. It's perfect if you're mostly a city rider. If you travel highway stretches often, however, you may find it limiting.

I forgot to put the side stand down at a stop and did my whole slow-motion tip over. It was so funny, the look on people's faces watching me try to pick it up.

I was so focused on getting my new GP to break in that I didn't realize I was almost out of fuel. I ended up pushing it to a petrol pump all decked out in my new riding gear. What a humbling experience!

I pulled up next to a group of sport bike riders at a signal and tried to look all cool on my GP. It then promptly stalled when the light turned green. That made them laugh.

Once I got my baggy pants caught on the footpeg while getting off the bike. I ended up doing an awkward dance trying to free myself from this while people watched. Not my finest moment.

I tried to show off the "GP handling" in a parking lot and ended up knocking over a row of scooters like dominoes. Found out real quick that horsing around is a bad idea.

The new Unicorn GP was looking’ good, and I spent ages polishing it up before a group ride. We set off, and then it started raining 5 minutes later. All that work for nothing!

Lane splitting on my GP, I thought I was hot stuff only to get stuck between two buses. I had to awkwardly inch forward while both the bus drivers laughed at me.

Another Unicorn GP rider once waved at me, thinking I was my friend. It turns out it was a complete stranger who seemed very confused. Awkward ride home after that.

I would like to see inverted forks and a more aggressive riding position if they made a 250cc Unicorn GP. Make it a real sport commuter!

I don’t want sportiness; I want a 250cc Unicorn GP that has been set up for touring comfort. The fuel tank is larger, provides better wind protection, and, perhaps, cruise control.
