So, what’s one thing you would have changed if Yamaha had to do it again with the FZ16 (FZ V1)?
Yamaha FZ16 (FZ V1) was a motorcycle which was launched in 2008. Not only did it bring a fresh design, it also gave the muscular design to the 150cc segment, and introduced fat rear tire features which were unheard of back then. Overall build quality, comfortable riding position and good low end torque were praised about the bike. But just like no motorcycle is perfect, even the popular FZ V1 has things that riders would prefer to be different. They can be things like design, a performance issue, a feature, anything. Thinking back on what could have been done better is a great way to learn about the bike's good and bad points as well as how it compared to its contemporaries and today's motorcycles. It also underlines how rider expectations and preferences have changed since the introduction of the FZ V1.
Had they given it a bit more power, I wish. It's great for city riding, but feels a bit underpowered on highways, don't get me wrong. 1-2 bhp more would have made a big difference.
