I have a Yamaha FZ16 (FZ V1). What's the best mod you've done to it?
Yamaha FZ16 (FZ V1) has been a favourite among motorcycle lovers who like to customize their bike. With its very straight forward design and very robust build, the FZ V1 provides a nice base for modifications. Riders frequently change all sorts of stuff on the bike to get it to perform better, look better, or just be different. These can range from something as simple as a different paint job or decal, to something more significant like a performance exhaust, suspension adjustment, or engine upgrade. There are a few riders that want to make the bike more comfortable for long rides, and some want to make it more performance oriented for a more thrilling ride. For FZ V1 owners, there is a pretty good aftermarket scene and plenty ways to personalize your bike.

The best mod I've done is a purely cosmetic mod, a custom paint job. I love how it looks now, it makes my FZ stand out. Not all is about performance sometimes!

I replaced the stock air filter with a high flow one. It's not a huge change, but the bike breathes better, particularly at higher revs.

For me, the handlebar risers are what it is. It was such a simple mod, but it changed the riding position so much and made long rides so much more comfortable.

Upgrading the suspension is the best mod I've done. The new fork springs and rear monoshock made the handling world's apart on bumpy roads.

Id say the best mod is to have no mod at all. It is perfect as is the FZ V1. Why mess with Yamaha's engineering?

It’s the LED headlight upgrade for me. It's pretty weak stock headlight, especially for night riding. The LED conversion does make a huge difference in visibility and looks cooler as well.

The best mod I’ve done, hands down, is installing a performance exhaust. The stock one is too quiet, and too restrictive. A good aftermarket exhaust really wakes up the engine and you can hear it nicely growl.
