What features would you want if Bajaj made a 400cc version of the Pulsar 220F?
In the Indian market the Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been a popular sports tourer for a long time. The winning combination of semi-faired design, comfortable ergonomics and peppy performance has won many fans. But what if Bajaj made a bigger, more powerful version, a Pulsar 400F, if you will? We’d be competing in the middleweight segment, and against bikes such as the KTM 390 Duke and Honda CB300R. For that higher price point, it'd need to provide a substantive leap in performance and capabilities. But it also has to retain the practicality value for money proposition associated with the market position of the Pulsar brand. What do you think this Pulsar 400F would be if it was your dream bike, what kind of engine, chassis, electronics, and other features would you like to see? What would you want to change from the 220F, and what would you want to keep about the original?
I'd want a 400cc parallel twin engine with about 45 – 50 bhp. Retain the semi-faired design but with more aggressive styling. Add USD forks, dual channel ABS and a TFT display.
