What modern features would you want to see if Yamaha brought back the RX 135?
Smarter emission norms forced Yamaha to discontinue the RX 135 in 2005, but it never really left the hearts of many a motorcycle enthusiasts. The recent trend of manufacturers brings back classic models with modern technology means there is always speculation about what a modern RX 135 would look like. This hypothetical allows us to discuss real compromises to balance a bike that is classic but modern, regulated yet fun. Entusiastë përfytyrojnë se cila amënymenta moderne mund të zhvillohen pa e humbur karakterin e origjinës RX 135. It may encompass engine technology, safety functions or even digital screens and connectivity. The question also encompasses larger ideas regarding how to retrofit classic motorcycles for contemporary market standards, and what might be acceptable ground to give up with regards to classic motorcycles in the hopes of building something that would appeal to today's standards and today's fans of the original.

Keyless ignition and maybe even a push-button electric start option alongside the kick. Make it convenient for each and every day.

What about variable valve timing for the two stroke engine? Emissions could be helped without giving up the power.

I’d like a digital dash with smartphone connectivity. Old school looks with new school tech.

Throw in ride by wire throttle and multiple power modes. So imagine an 'eco' commute mode, and a 'hooligan' mode for weekends.

Honestly, just make it meet emissions and stick an ABS on it. That should be it, everything else stays the same. Why fix what isn't broken?

Suspension and brakes for sure were modern. Make the engine simple, but safer to ride in today's traffic.

I would really like to see a hybrid system. City electric motor, two stroke when you want to have fun. Best of both worlds!

You have to have fuel injection, but keep it carbed as an option for the purists. Maybe offer both versions?
