Comparing the riding position of the Classic 350 Bobber and the standard Classic 350.
The ergonomics of a motorcycle’s ride can have a massive impact on comfort, control, and how well a rider is able to ride. The handlebars and seat height of the Classic 350 Bobber have been changed from the standard Classic 350. The seat height has been lowered to 755mm (Classic 805mm) and the handlebars appear to be lowered slightly. These are modifications to give the bike a more bobber style riding position. But how much do these changes really impact the riding experience? The new position may also be more comfortable, or simply more stylish, for some riders, or they may prefer the more upright posture of the standard Classic 350. The two models compare on long distance comfort, maneuverability in city traffic and overall rider confidence.
It’s nice to have the lower seat height but those handlebars look like they’re going to be uncomfortable on longer rides.
I rode both, and the Bobber has a more laid back feeling. It's not a dramatically different change, but you can feel it.
It's not that the riding position is different at all. It’s really about looks not ergonomic changes.
I actually like the more upright position of the standard Classic as someone with back issues. I think the Bobber is a little too hunched.
Cruising around with the Bobber gives it a cooler vibe, but I’d stick with the Classic for daily commuting.
I believe that RE found the right balance. It's special enough without being impractical.
The low seat height only really complaints shorter riders have though, tall folks will feel a little cramped on the Bobber.
