About
The TVS Scooty Wimbledon is a variant of the popular Scooty series from TVS Motor Company. It is designed with a focus on style and fuel efficiency, making it appealing to urban commuters. The scooter features a compact and lightweight design, which is easy to handle in traffic. It comes with an 87.8cc engine that produces 5.4 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The Scooty Wimbledon also includes features like a side stand indicator and multiple color options, including a special Wimbledon-themed edition. While it excels in terms of mileage and ease of handling, it has some limitations, such as poor performance in rainy conditions and instability at higher speeds. Overall, it is a good choice for those looking for a budget-friendly, fuel-efficient scooter for short to medium distance commutes.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Scooty Wimbledon is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user experience. On the positive side, it is known for its good mileage, lightweight design, and comfortable ride, making it a viable option for city commutes and shorter trips. The scooter also boasts a stylish design and is available in various color options, which can be a significant draw for many buyers. However, there are several drawbacks that potential buyers should consider. Users have reported poor performance during rainy seasons, inadequate braking, and instability at higher speeds. Additionally, the engine can be finicky, sometimes failing to start or stopping abruptly. While it is a good option for those prioritizing fuel efficiency and ease of handling, it falls short in terms of overall reliability and performance.
Price
The TVS Scooty Wimbledon is positioned as an affordable scooter in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price typically ranges between Rs. 33,000 to Rs. 40,000, depending on the region and any local taxes. On-road prices, which include registration, insurance, and other costs, can range from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000. This pricing strategy aligns with TVSs focus on survival in a highly competitive market, where the goal is to keep costs low to attract budget-conscious buyers. However, its crucial to note that while the initial cost is attractive, the long-term reliability and maintenance costs should also be factored into the buying decision.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 07:18 PM
The TVS Scooty Wimbledon offers decent mileage, which is a key selling point for many Indian buyers. Users have reported mileage ranging from 45 to 50 kmpl, which is relatively good for a scooter in its class. This fuel efficiency can significantly reduce running costs, making it an economical choice for daily commutes. However, actual mileage can vary based on riding conditions and maintenance of the vehicle.

This is best Scooty for mileage for regular user, Best Mileage in lower price other scooty gives 35 to 40 kmpl mileage but their company said 50 to 55 kmpl mileage.I used Scooty Tenz from last 7-8 year, and I experienced about maintenance only oiling and replace tyres - No problem in engine, just 3000 Rs. for Maintenance from this year. Please make longer distance like 300 kmph nonstop drive capacity, solve engine cooling system for solve heating and last give our best scooty back with new look, best price, best mileage with dual system (petrol + Electronic in one).
