Honda India has launched an all-new variant of Activa, which will be sold as ‘Activa-i’. It was expected to be a 125cc scooter but actually it is a low-end variant of Activa and is powered by the same 109.2cc engine which also power the Activa, Aviator and Dio. Honda recently upgraded this engine to improve the reliability and fuel efficiency. It also comes equipped with Combi-Brake System (CBS), viscous air filter, tubeless tyres and maintenance free battery. As per the claims by Honda 2 Wheelers India, Activa-i is their 1st light weight compact automatic scooter for the Indian market.
Honda Activa-i Engine and Gearbox
Honda Activa-i is powered by a 109.2cc engine, it generates maximum power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 8.74 Nm at 5500 rpm. The company claimed mileage of Activa-i is 60 kmpl, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient automatic scooters available in India. You can expect it to return 40-50 kmpl in real-world conditions.The 109cc engine of Activa-i is mated to v-matic automatic transmission and comes with self-start and kick-start option. This engine also features Honda Eco Technology which helps in reducing friction within the engine and enhances fuel-efficiency.
Honda Activa-i Suspension and Brakes
The suspension system of Honda Activa-i has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian road conditions. It features spring loaded hydraulic suspension both front and rear. The braking system is also very effective with 130mm drums at front and rear.
Honda Activa-i Dimensions, Weight and Storage
The length of this scooter is 1795mm, width is 705mm and height stands at 1115mm. The kerb weight is 103 kgs and ground clearance is 165mm. The under-seat storage of Activa-i is quite impressive at 18 litres.

It is available in four eye-catching shades: Alpha red metallic, Purple metallic, Pearl sunbeam white and Beige metallic.

The ex-showroom price of Activa-i in New Delhi is INR 43750, which is very reasonable considering the amount of features it offers. The on-road price is INR 48500.

Hi everybody
I was purchased Activa-I on date 09/09/13, before decision
to purchase Activa-I, I was planned Pleasure but due to mileage & Engine
110CC difference I was choose Activa-I.
Before purchase Activa-I, contact all dealers for costing
because some dealer Compulsory charged AMC, ACC, EX. WARR. Etc…, which amount
almost 5K. Without this charge they are asking NO.
Now my review of Activa-I is It’s a good comfort, No any vibration at driving stage, to silent engine, pickup
us very good, you feel essay drive in traffic. Mileage riding is (reserve to reserve) observe,
·1st time mileage 51km @ 10-20 speed
·2nd time mileage 58km @ 30-40 speed.
I will update my review after some time

How you know its weight is 103 Kg? In company website, the weight is not mention. Some other website say 114 Kg. Which is true?
