Honda India has launched an all-new variant of Activa, which will be sold as ‘Activa-i’. It was expected to be a 125cc scooter but actually it is a low-end variant of Activa and is powered by the same 109.2cc engine which also power the Activa, Aviator and Dio. Honda recently upgraded this engine to improve the reliability and fuel efficiency. It also comes equipped with Combi-Brake System (CBS), viscous air filter, tubeless tyres and maintenance free battery. As per the claims by Honda 2 Wheelers India, Activa-i is their 1st light weight compact automatic scooter for the Indian market.

Honda Activa-i Engine and Gearbox

Honda Activa-i is powered by a 109.2cc engine, it generates maximum power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 8.74 Nm at 5500 rpm. The company claimed mileage of Activa-i is 60 kmpl, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient automatic scooters available in India. You can expect it to return 40-50 kmpl in real-world conditions.The 109cc engine of Activa-i is mated to v-matic automatic transmission and comes with self-start and kick-start option. This engine also features Honda Eco Technology which helps in reducing friction within the engine and enhances fuel-efficiency.

Honda Activa-i Suspension and Brakes

The suspension system of Honda Activa-i has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian road conditions. It features spring loaded hydraulic suspension both front and rear. The braking system is also very effective with 130mm drums at front and rear.

I think Honda Activa-i is better than Hero Pleasure. This is because Activa-i has a more powerful engine of 109.2 cc capable to churn 8 bhp at 7500 rpm with a maximum torque of 8.74 Nm at 5500 rpm. On the other hand, Hero Pleasure has got 102 cc engine which can produce 6.91 bhp at 7000 rpm and 8.91 Nm at 5000 rpm. So, these figures are good enough to give you a glimpse of power of Honda Activa-i.

Honda Activa-i is a better option over the Hero Pleasure. The Activa-i gets the same tried and tested motor from the Activa 3G, making it a good option for a better price tag. The 109.2 cc engine produces 8 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.74 NM @ 5500 rpm. It comes with a lightweight design taht makes it easy to ride in high traffic conditions also. The scooter comes in new shades and a DLX variant, which includes Pearl Amazing White and Orchid Purple Metallic shade. It comes with tubeless tyres and Honda CBS, which makes it better than all the competitors. It comes with a price tag of INR 46,703.

The Ex-showroom price of the Honda Activa-i in Kanpur is INR 46708. its on-road price will be around INR 51200. The on-road price does not include optional items like accessories, extended warranty etc. It comes with the same engine as the Activa 110 with a different body styling.

Hi everybody
I was purchased Activa-I on date 09/09/13, before decision
to purchase Activa-I, I was planned Pleasure but due to mileage & Engine
110CC difference I was choose Activa-I.
Before purchase Activa-I, contact all dealers for costing
because some dealer Compulsory charged AMC, ACC, EX. WARR. Etc…, which amount
almost 5K. Without this charge they are asking NO.

Now my review of Activa-I is It’s a good comfort, No any vibration at driving stage, to silent engine, pickup
us very good, you feel essay drive in traffic. Mileage riding is (reserve to reserve) observe,
·1st time mileage 51km @ 10-20 speed
·2nd time mileage 58km @ 30-40 speed.
I will update my review after some time
In sort it’s a good
scooter for family.
