TVS has unveiled the production-ready RTR 125 LC at EICMA 2026 as a Europe-focused urban sportsbike. Its headline hardware includes a 125cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, 11kW (14.9PS), a six-speed gearbox and dual-channel ABS. An India launch, local price and delivery timeline have not been announced.

What is the TVS RTR 125 LC?

The RTR 125 LC is positioned for Europe’s A1 motorcycle segment. The reveal establishes a production-ready machine rather than a styling concept, although it does not by itself confirm availability in each European market, a retail price or an on-sale date.

Its design combines an upright screen and mirrors with a compact, angular body and exposed mechanical components. The reveal bike uses grey and black surfaces with fluorescent yellow accents. Indian buyers should treat it as a distinct announced European product, rather than assume that it replaces an existing TVS model at home.

Engine output and transmission

The four-valve, double-overhead-camshaft engine produces 11kW (14.9PS) at 9,000rpm and 12Nm at 7,000rpm. Liquid cooling is part of the engine specification. A six-speed transmission is paired with a multiplate full assist-and-slipper clutch.

The power figure is best compared using the same unit: 14.9PS is the stated equivalent of 11kW, and should not be casually relabelled as 15bhp. Engine capacity alone also does not describe how a motorcycle will feel; gearing, weight and the delivery of torque matter, and a reveal specification is no substitute for a road test.

Chassis, suspension and braking

TVS specifies a Synchro Stiff trellis frame and cast swingarm. Suspension comprises a 41mm KYB USD front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock. These are announced hardware details; adjustment range, ride comfort and handling on Indian roads have not been established by this reveal.

The front brake uses a 300mm disc and radial Bybre caliper, while the rear has a 240mm disc with a Bybre caliper. Dual-channel ABS is included. The tyre sizes are 100/80-17 at the front and 140/70-R17 at the rear. TVS also lists ride modes, without TVS detailing their individual calibration.

Display and connected features

The bike has a 5-inch TFT instrument display with multiway Bluetooth connectivity. Announced functions include full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation. These features describe the reveal specification; market-specific software availability and connected-service terms should be checked when local sales details are released.

Will the RTR 125 LC launch in India?

There is no announced India launch date, price or booking programme. The Europe-focused reveal is relevant to Indian TVS followers because it shows the company’s latest small-capacity engineering and equipment package, but it does not establish an Indian showroom product.

That makes direct India price comparisons premature. A useful local comparison would require confirmation of an India-spec model, its homologated output and equipment, ex-showroom price, warranty and delivery schedule. Until then, the RTR 125 LC is best understood through its confirmed European positioning.
