Thursday, 29 September 2022 09:39 PM The Royal Enfield Machismo, particularly the 350 AVL model, has been a topic of discussion among enthusiasts regarding its restoration and modification. A recent thread on a biking forum highlighted the costs and efforts involved, with estimates suggesting restoration and modification could cost over Rs. 30,000. The bikes lack of modern features like self-start and disc brakes has led many to advise against investing further in it. I think the emotional value and the desire to preserve old bikes are understandable, but practicality often wins out.
Monday, 15 August 2022 08:20 PM Royal Enfield has been expanding its presence in India, with plans to open 300 mini showrooms across the country. This move is expected to enhance customer accessibility and experience, though it does not directly impact the Machismo model, which is no longer in production. I believe this expansion will help Royal Enfield maintain its market presence and cater to a wider audience.
Wednesday, 23 February 2022 06:55 PM The Machismo 500, known for its lean-burn aluminum engine designed by AVL, Austria, has been a favorite among custom builders. A recent custom build transformed a Machismo 500 into a bobber, inspired by the 1949 Royal Enfield Bullet and military motorcycles from World War I and II. This build showcases the potential for creative customization of older Royal Enfield models. I think such custom builds keep the spirit of these classic bikes alive and vibrant.
Monday, 10 January 2022 07:34 AM Royal Enfields history with the AVL engine is significant, as it marked a transition from cast-iron head-blocks to more modern and reliable unit-construction engines. The Machismo was one of the first models to feature this new engine design, which included a left-side 5-speed gearbox and right-side brake. This technological shift was a crucial step in Royal Enfields evolution. I believe this change helped Royal Enfield stay competitive in the market.
Monday, 20 December 2021 03:32 PM The Machismo 350 AVL, with its non-self-start and non-disc brake features, has raised questions about its practicality in modern times. Enthusiasts have debated whether its worth restoring such a bike, given the availability of more advanced models like the Continental GT 650. Many advise selling the old bike and enjoying the newer, more convenient models. I think this is a sensible approach, but theres something special about preserving old bikes that cant be replicated with new ones.
Friday, 15 October 2021 11:37 PM Royal Enfields production and sales strategies have included increasing the production of their motorcycles to meet growing demand. While this does not specifically address the Machismo model, it indicates the companys overall growth and commitment to meeting customer needs. I believe this is a positive sign for Royal Enfield enthusiasts and potential buyers.
Wednesday, 25 August 2021 05:15 PM The Machismo, being an older model, often requires significant maintenance and upkeep to keep it running smoothly. This has led some owners to consider whether the time and money invested are worth it, especially when compared to newer models that offer more convenience and reliability. I think its a tough decision, but one that depends heavily on personal attachment and the joy of riding an old-school motorcycle.
Thursday, 10 June 2021 12:36 PM Customization and modification of the Royal Enfield Machismo have been popular among enthusiasts, with many opting for scrambler or bobber designs. These custom builds not only enhance the bikes appearance but also its performance, making it a unique and personalized ride. I believe such customizations are a great way to breathe new life into older bikes.
Thursday, 15 April 2021 07:48 PM The Royal Enfield Machismo, with its AVL engine, has a special place in the history of Royal Enfields technological advancements. The AVL engine was a significant improvement over the older cast-iron engines, offering better reliability and performance. This transition was crucial for Royal Enfields continued success in the market. I think this engine change was a smart move by the company.
Saturday, 20 February 2021 11:13 PM Despite being an older model, the Machismo still holds a certain charm and appeal, especially among those who value the history and heritage of Royal Enfield. However, its lack of modern features makes it less practical for daily use compared to newer models. I think this bike is more for collectors or enthusiasts who appreciate its nostalgic value.
