Our take on this /// Verdict
The Keeway K300 R is a compelling option in the 300cc supersport segment in India, offering a blend of stylish design, decent performance, and manageable ergonomics. While it may not outshine its competitors in every aspect, it has its strengths. The bikes 292.4cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine delivers 27.5PS and 25Nm, making it pleasant for city riding and highway cruises, although the power delivery tapers off beyond 7,000rpm. The handling is agile, and the suspension is plush, making it comfortable for navigating through traffic and minor road undulations. However, the brakes could be improved, as the dual-channel ABS can be intrusive, and the tyres lack the necessary grip for effective braking. Overall, its a fun and attractive bike, but potential buyers should weigh its features and performance against its slightly steep price and the offerings of its rivals.
Price
The Keeway K300 R is priced at Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom India), which places it in a competitive bracket within the 300cc supersport segment. When considering the on-road price, you can expect to add around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000, depending on the state and local taxes, bringing the total to approximately Rs 2.95 lakh to Rs 3.05 lakh. While this pricing is competitive, its essential to note that some of its rivals, like the TVS Apache RR 310, offer more features and slightly better performance at a similar or even lower price point. Therefore, buyers need to carefully evaluate whether the K300 Rs unique styling and performance justify the cost.

Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
Keeway K300 R Review
28 Sep, 2022 10:13 AM
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Keeway India is on a roll with new product introductions, with the latest being the Keeway K300 N and K300 R motorcycles. The Keeway R300 N is a naked sport bike, whereas the K300 R is fully faired.
Twin LED headlights flanked by LED DRLs are integrated into the front fairing of the K300 R. It appears to have clip-on handlebars and mirrors located just above the headlight. Surprisingly, the K300 R resembles a CFMoto bike, the CFMoto 300SR.
Keeway K300 R has a full fairing and clip-on for a more committed riding position. The split headlight design adds to the motorcycle's sportiness, while the under-belly exhaust gives it a clean appearance. The high-set rear end makes it unsuitable for carrying a pillion on a regular basis. But the K300 R is an excellent option for those looking for a 300 cc fully faired motorcycle.
The K300 R is powered by the same 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as its naked sibling, the K300 N. It produces 27.5 HP and 25 Nm and is mated to a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
The K300 R is built on the same platform as the K300 N. You have a mono-shock and a 37mm inverted fork. A 292mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, as well as dual-channel ABS, handle braking duties. The tyres are 17-inch alloys on both ends, with a 110-section unit in front and a 140-section unit in the rear.
The K300 R weighs 165kg, which is 14kg heavier than the K300 N. It has a 12-litre fuel tank and a rather low ground clearance of 135mm.
For the Glossy White paint scheme, the Keeway K300 R costs Rs 2,99,000. You'll have to pay Rs 3,10,000 and Rs 3,20,000 for the Glossy Red and Glossy Black, respectively (all prices ex-showroom India). In the Indian market, Keeway K300 R competes with BMW G310 RR, Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390, and TVS Apache RR310.
