The K-Light 250V also boasts upside-down front forks and twin rear springs for suspension, along with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. Expert opinion and recommendation
The Keeway K-Light 250V is a compelling addition to the cruiser segment in India, offering a blend of classic styling and modern features. What stands out is its retro-inspired design, complete with a round headlamp, body-coloured cowl, and shotgun-style exhausts, which gives it a distinctive and appealing look. The bikes 249cc, V-Twin, air-cooled engine delivers 18.4 bhp and 19 Nm of torque, making it suitable for both urban commuting and short highway rides. The comfortable seating and upright riding position enhance its usability for longer rides. However, its important to note that while it rivals bikes like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster, it comes at a slightly higher price point. Despite this, the K-Light 250Vs unique features, such as the Keeway Connect app with GPS and remote engine cut-off, add significant value. Overall, its a great option for those seeking a stylish, feature-rich cruiser that balances performance and comfort.
Recent news and announcements
Keeway has officially launched the K-Light 250V in India, priced between Rs. 2.89 lakhs and Rs. 3.09 lakhs, depending on the color variant. This cruiser bike features a 249cc V-Twin engine, a segment-first belt-drive system, and a semi-digital instrument cluster with integrated GPS. I think this pricing makes it a competitive option in the cruiser segment, but its on the higher side compared to some rivals.
The Keeway K-Light 250V has been making waves with its unique design, including a muscular fuel tank, low-slung design, and a drag-style handlebar. The bike also boasts a twin exhaust setup and a boxy tail section, reminiscent of the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob. I believe the design will appeal to those looking for a classic cruiser look with modern features.
Keeway has highlighted the technological features of the K-Light 250V, including a semi-digital instrument cluster linked with the Keeway Connect app. This app offers features like real-time location tracking, remote engine cut-off, geo-fencing, and a panic button. I think these tech additions make the bike more appealing to tech-savvy riders.
The Keeway K-Light 250V is set to rival several established cruiser bikes in India, including the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. Despite being more expensive than some of its competitors, the K-Light 250Vs unique features and V-Twin engine could attract a specific niche market. I believe it will carve out its own space in the market.
Keeway has announced that the K-Light 250V will come with a mileage of 32 kmpl, according to company claims. This, combined with its 20-liter fuel tank, should provide decent range for long journeys. I think this will be a significant selling point for riders who plan to use the bike for both city commuting and highway cruising.

Overview
Keeway, a Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its K-Light 250V cruiser bike in India. In May 2022, Benelli's sister company Keeway made its debut in the country with the introduction of three new products: the Keeway K-Light 250V, the Keeway Vieste 300, and the Keeway Sixties 300i.
Keeway is currently owned by the Qianjiang Group, a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer that also owns Benelli. Keeway was founded in 1999 and claims to have sold products in 98 countries. Keeway also revealed that all of its products would be assembled at the Adishwar Auto Ride India facility in Telangana's Hyderabad, which handles Benelli's operations in the country. The company also stated that its new K-Light bike would be imported Completely Knocked Down (CKD) and assembled in the United States.
K-Light 250V Design and Style
The new Keeway K-Light resembles a modified version of the Bajaj Avenger or even Harley Davidson roadsters in terms of design. Furthermore, K-Light has a largely minimalistic design and a retro profile, which is complemented by its round headlamp, turn indicators, and tail light. The new K-Light features a sculpted 20-litre tank, an instrument cluster, a contoured rider seat, dual exhaust pipes, and a swingarm-mounted mudguard.
The 250V is a cruiser motorcycle with a steeply raked front end, stepped seat design, and forward-set footpegs for a more relaxed riding position. The front of the bike features an LED headlamp with a circular LED DRL design housed within an angular headlamp pod. The 20-litre fuel tank gets some angular design elements as well and the taillights are also LED equipped. The new bike measures 2230mm long, 920mm wide, 1090mm tall, and has a 1530mm wheelbase with 160mm ground clearance. The seat height of the cruiser motorcycle is also 715mm.
K-Light 250V Engine and Gearbox
The new cruiser motorcycle is powered by a 249cc, Air-Cooled, 4-Stroke, 8-Valve, V-Twin Engine that produces 18.7 hp at 8,500 rpm and 19 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The BS6 engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission with Engine Control Unit (ECU) ignition and an EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) fuel system. In contrast to most manufacturers' chain drive systems, power is transmitted to the wheel via a belt drive system.
K-Light 250V Suspension, Brakes and Tyres
The cruiser is supported by a double cradle frame, an inverted front fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. Discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS handle braking duties. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Timsun tyres with 120-section front and 140-section rear sections.
Instrument Console of K-Light 250V
2024 Keeway K-Light 250V is outfitted with a digital instrument cluster as well as connected vehicle technology. The technology connects to the Keyway App via an integrated GPS unit with a SIM card, sharing not only location-based data but also allowing for remote engine cut-off, setting up a geo-fence, maintaining ride records, and setting a maximum speed limit. There's also a panic button that sends the location of the bike to two pre-selected contacts.
Key Features of K-Light 250V
The Keeway has an all-LED lighting system, a semi-digital tank-mounted instrument cluster, and a USB charging port near the steering headstock. Keeway Connect, a GPS and SIM card-enabled module that connects to the Keeway smartphone app, is also included with the bike. Riders can use this to access features such as real-time motorcycle location, geo-fencing, remote engine cut-off, ride records, maximum speed limit, and a panic button.
Top Speed and Mileage of K-Light 250V
The New K-Light 250V's real-world figures are unknown at this time, but its expected top speed is 135 km/h and its expected mileage is 25 km/l.
K-Light 250V Colour Options
Keeway offers the new K-Light 250V in 3 different colour options: Matte Black, Matte Dark Grey, and Matte Blue.
K-Light 250V Price
2024 Keeway K-Light 250V has an Ex-Showroom price of Rs 2,89,000 that increases depending on the colour you select.
K-Light 250V Competitors
The new K-Light 250V competes with models such as the Benelli Imperiale, Honda H'Ness CB350, Royal Enfield Scram 411, Bajaj Dominar 250, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and Yezdi Roadster.
Conclusion
According to Keeyway, the new K-Light comes with a standard 2-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. The company plans to launch five more new models in India before the end of the year. The cruiser can be reserved for Rs. 10,000 through their official website and/or dealerships.
