This bike is a great choice for those looking for power and performance. It has a powerful 900cc inline 4 cylinder engine that gives out a lot of torque and power. The bike has an impressive mileage of 20kmpl on long rides and 18kmpl in traffic, making it one of the most efficient bikes in its price range. The bike is also suitable for riders of heights between 5.5 and 6 feet, thanks to its long and narrow design. The only downside is that the bike is quite expensive, but if you are looking for a great superbike experience under 10 lacs, the Kawasaki Z900 is the perfect option. The overall look of the bike is good and it has a great power delivery. It also has a comfortable sitting position which makes it suitable for long rides. With its lower seating posture, it gives a sporty feel. However, it may not be suitable for touring due to its almost upright seating which can be quite heavy compared to other bikes.
The ergonomics of the Kawasaki Z900 are great and make for a comfortable ride. The performance of the bike is outstanding with a strong throttle response and the quick shifter is a great addition to the experience. The inline 4 sound is an amazing attraction and the pickup is incredibly fast. The overall look of the bike is beautiful and the exhaust note is smooth and sharp. This bike is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a powerful and reliable superbike.

Expert Verdict
Professional reviews and expert opinions on Kawasaki Z900
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 stands as a benchmark in the supernaked segment, continuing its legacy as a motorcycle that blends excitement, technology, and everyday practicality. This latest iteration introduces a host of upgrades designed to appeal to both expert riders and those new to the world of high-performance bikes.
Striking Sugomi-Inspired Design and Rider Ergonomics
Kawasaki’s distinctive Sugomi design ethos is immediately evident in the Z900’s refreshed appearance. The bike features sharper, more compact LED lighting at both ends, with a redesigned LED headlight and taillight that amplify its aggressive stance. Brushed aluminum side panels add to the muscular silhouette, while the overall profile remains unmistakably modern.
Ergonomics have been thoughtfully updated for 2025. The seat height is now slightly taller at 830 mm, offering riders a commanding view of the road and a more forward-leaning posture for spirited riding. Those preferring a lower stance can opt for an accessory seat that reduces the height to 810 mm. The new seat is not only thicker and flatter but also more supportive, making it suitable for both short city trips and extended highway journeys. The handlebar has been widened for improved rigidity, contributing to sharper cornering and a more planted feel.
Potent Inline-Four Engine Performance
At the core of the Z900 is Kawasaki’s renowned 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine. For the 2025 model, this powerhouse delivers 124 PS (91 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 97.4 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm. While peak power is marginally lower than before, the engine now offers a stronger midrange punch and a smoother, more predictable throttle response, thanks to revised cam profiles and new ride-by-wire electronic throttle valves. These enhancements also result in up to 16% better fuel efficiency, with a claimed consumption of just 4.8 liters per 100 km.
The Z900’s engine is celebrated for its tractability and exhilarating acceleration, making it equally at home in city traffic, on twisty backroads, or during long highway cruises. The signature exhaust note remains a highlight, delivering an engaging soundtrack that matches the bike’s dynamic character.
Advanced Technology and Rider Assistance
The 2025 model marks a significant leap forward in technology. For the first time, the Z900 is equipped with a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), enabling sophisticated cornering ABS and traction control (KTRC). These systems provide greater safety and confidence across a variety of riding conditions.
Four selectable riding modes—Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (customizable)—allow riders to fine-tune throttle response and electronic intervention to suit their preferences. A standard up/down quickshifter with blipper function enables seamless clutchless gear changes, enhancing both acceleration and deceleration. Electronic cruise control is now standard, making long-distance riding more enjoyable. The assist and slipper clutch further smooths out downshifts and prevents rear wheel hop during aggressive braking.
Modern TFT Display and Connectivity
The cockpit is dominated by a vibrant 5-inch TFT color display, offering clear readouts of speed, gear position, fuel level, and other essential information. Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth allows riders to access turn-by-turn navigation, ride data, and notifications through the Kawasaki Rideology app, adding a layer of convenience and modernity to the riding experience.
Suspension, Braking, and Agile Handling
The Z900’s lightweight trellis frame remains a key contributor to its agile handling and stability. Suspension duties are handled by a 41 mm adjustable inverted front fork and a horizontal back-link gas-charged rear shock, both tuned for a balance of comfort and sporty feedback. The SE variant features an Öhlins S46 rear shock for even greater adjustability and ride quality.
Braking is managed by dual 300 mm front discs with radially mounted four-piston calipers and a 250 mm rear disc, both equipped with ABS for confident stopping power. The 2025 model’s new calipers provide improved feel and precision, further enhancing the bike’s dynamic capabilities.
Everyday Usability and Practicality
Despite its aggressive demeanor, the Z900 is highly rated for its everyday usability. The riding position is comfortable for daily commutes, and the bike’s manageable curb weight of 213 kg makes it easy to maneuver in urban environments. The 17-liter fuel tank offers a practical range, while the 830 mm seat height accommodates a wide range of riders.
Owner Impressions and Verdict
Owners consistently praise the Z900 for its smooth power delivery, sharp handling, and striking looks. Many consider it a segment leader in the supernaked category, thanks to its blend of performance, comfort, and value. The 2025 upgrades to electronics, comfort, and fuel efficiency make it an even more compelling choice for enthusiasts.
Conclusion: Redefining the Supernaked Experience
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 sets a new standard for what a modern supernaked motorcycle should be. With its bold design, advanced technology, and legendary inline-four engine, it offers an exhilarating ride for weekend adventures and a comfortable, practical experience for daily use. Whether you’re seeking a thrilling ride or a stylish commuter, the Z900 remains one of the most rewarding choices in its class.

After few months, the copper pipes may start to corrode and lose their shine if not properly maintained. To keep them looking new, it's important to clean them regularly with a mild detergent and warm water, and to avoid using harsh abrasive cleaners. Additionally, applying a protective coating such as wax or lacquer can help protect the pipes from corrosion.
