Jawa 300 Review

Overview

After 22 years of a long halt, the famous motorcycle brand, Jawa is back in the town with three new additions to the family. The motorcycle brand has been resurrected by Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra. The brand has rolled out new motorcycle range with a Classic, Sport and Bobber model that goes by the name Jawa 300, Jawa 42 and Jawa Perak.

The new classic edition from the brand, the Jawa 300 is a retro-inspired cruiser that has been designed specifically to pay homage to the first ever predecessor from the brand. The bike has been designed in close consideration to its roots and actually exhibits a 70’s style rather than the modern outlook. Its authentic retro cruiser design competes with the likes of Royal Enfield 350.

Complimenting its old-school look is a bulky fuel tank supporting chrome finish, large mudguards that cover the spoke wheels and rounded headlamps. The instrument cluster is also inspired by the original Jawas from the ’80s and meets the fork shrouds all the way up. Underneath its retro heart is a modern 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled BS6-ready engine capable of producing maximum power of 27 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque.
